    Chutes and Ladders

It was a bit tougher to find than you might expect. The last post in the earlier thread came in early November. It sort of tumbled down the ladder. I suppose I find that ironic, but that's a completely useless subject.

    *sigh*

I am so saddened. Why can't you people do you own research. Why don't you understand that American media is controlled by American corporations, to make sure that politicians are elected to advance the neo-fascist American agenda. If they report what is really going on, the people would be irate. It would be like the Vietnam protests all over again. Ron Paul would win in a land slide. You either don't want to know, or refuse to want to know. . . Would it do any good for me to post the links? Would you bother to read them? Only if you do the research will you be willing to believe. It's all there. I just posted a Libyan blog that is updated daily that tells what is going on. But it conflicts with your ego and your world view, so what's the point?

Pay attention, NATO started a war on Libya, the majority of Libyans were doing just fine, and liked their country the way it was. The western imperialists invaded. The war isn't over, only their leader leader has been killed. Unfortunately for the majority of idiot Westerners that are uneducated, they do not realize, he left behind his ideas are in a WRITTEN BOOK , and now he is a martyr. You can kill a man, lie about him and spin you tales about him in the major western media outlets, but when he has left behind a written testament, but when he has left behind a country that had the highest living standard on the continent and a book of brilliant political philosophy, good luck getting rid of his movement. Great job NATO.

This was no ordinary leader that they knocked off. Now they are going to really have a hard time with it I think.

If they aren't careful, they are going to have a big civil war, and this NTC was a first bad step. It was a puppet with ill intentions from the start. If anything could be more ill conceived than Iraq? Yep, this was it. You didn't bother reading much, if any of the Libyan blog, did you?

You want proof that Obama's and the West's fingers are all over this, even still?

A martyr for what cause? His own disgusting ego? We know he was a dictator and yet he talks of democracy, what a hypocrite. The US has it's problems but we know a despot when we see one.

It doesn't matter what you think. Your feelings on this are irrelevant. You have been indoctrinated by the establishment press. And no, he was never a "dictator." lol

He was only a spokesperson for the civic leaders of the various town, cities and municipalities. Your ignorance of Libyan governance is appalling.

A despot. Like the last several POTUSes? Like the American voter has any real choices presented to them?

There are two ways to view every issue, and there are no "black and white, right or wrong" ways on this issue. What this issue has more to do with is international banking, oil, and currency control then Libya, or Gaddafi.

    Lost to futility

It's not so much lost in the discussion as lost to futility. An earlier version of the graph you posted hasn't had much effect on the discourse:

It is my opinion that we are witnessing a Galtian revolution in real-time. But that's just me.

Conditioned and brainwashed by Zionist media. . . .

By what trial, in what court? No conviction was ever handed down.

Witness Obama lying. Pay special attention to minutes 9 to 10. What a crock. The whole thing, utter crap. He's like a totally different person now. He's like a Republican now compared to what he used to be.

He's now the most secretive administration, and here he is promising to be the most open administration and to pioneer citizen involvement. LIES, EMPTY PROMISES. EVIL. WORSE THAN BUSH. PUPPET OF THE ELITES.

    Repulsive progressive hypocrisy

". . .Repulsive liberal hypocrisy extends far beyond the issue of Guantanamo. A core plank in the Democratic critique of the Bush/Cheney civil liberties assault was the notion that the President could do whatever he wants, in secret and with no checks, to anyone he accuses without trial of being a Terrorist – even including eavesdropping on their communications or detaining them without due process. But President Obama has not only done the same thing, but has gone much farther than mere eavesdropping or detention: he has asserted the power even to kill citizens without due process. As Bush’s own CIA and NSA chief Michael Hayden said this week about the Awlaki assassination: “We needed a court order to eavesdrop on him but we didn’t need a court order to kill him. Isn’t that something?” That is indeed “something,” as is the fact that Bush’s mere due-process-free eavesdropping on and detention of American citizens caused such liberal outrage, while Obama’s due-process-free execution of them has not.

Beyond that, Obama has used drones to kill Muslim children and innocent adults by the hundreds. He has refused to disclose his legal arguments for why he can do this or to justify the attacks in any way. He has even had rescuers and funeral mourners deliberately targeted. As Hayden said: ”Right now, there isn’t a government on the planet that agrees with our legal rationale for these operations, except for Afghanistan and maybe Israel.” But that is all perfectly fine with most American liberals now that their Party’s Leader is doing it:

Meaningless propaganda. State actors, framed by the state machine, set up by the state, made to look like hereos attacking the bully of the west. Meaningless imperialist propaganda. These mindless zombies are as much victims as you are child.

The nearly 400 "Journalists, Correspondents, and Editors" counted on the CFR rolls does not include the many additional CFR members who are the executive officers of major media corporations. They may or may not be publicly well known but they are the bosses of the more visible members of the Fourth Estate. . . .

I'm glad you agree Ghaddafi considered this Libyan intelligence agent and convicted terrorist a hero. For this alone, Ghaddafi deserved his fate.

    Obama wins debate over contraception:

    http://www.nytimes.com/2012/02/15/us/obama-shift-on-contraception-splits-catholics.html

By compromising and splitting the Catholics, the debate becomes one about womens rights and health, and not the First Amendment. In the end, Obama wins the more liberal Catholics back; Conservative Catholics wouldn't support Obama in any case. It sets up the Republican candidates to appeal to their base on this issue, as Santorum did this week, while leaving them vulnerable in the general election and, in the case of Santorum at least, exposing previous extreme statements made in this regard, thus losing all but the most conservative women. The aspirin between the knees comment gave many women a serious headache. The debate leaves the entire Republican party looking archaic.

Whether this was a calculated maneuver on Obama's part, or more a matter of making lemonade out of lemons, the Republicans have already lost the argument and they don't even seem to know it yet.

I listened to Hannity today for 5 minutes and noticed two lies.

    Hannity lie #1:
Obama is responsible for rising gas prices due to his rejection of the Keystone pipeline.

    Hannity lie#2:
Obama is irresponsible due to his frequent and costly vacations.

    1. The president doesn't set the price of gas. It's not the result of supply and demand, the price is the result of speculation on the oil markets. Secondly, increasing domestic production won't lower the price immediately, and when it does a decade or so down the road, it would not be that significant.

    2.
Bush spent 1,020 days of his presidency on vacation. To put this into context, John F. Kennedy spent fewer days in office, 1000, than George W. Bush spent on vacation. Bush spent 487 days at Camp David, 490 days at his Crawford ranch, and 43 days in Kennebunkport. George W. Bush spent 69 days in Crawford during his first year in office. In contrast, according to FactCheck.org, Obama spent all, or part of, 26 days of his first year in office on vacation. This was less than all three previous Republican presidents, Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush, and George W. Bush, but more than the two previous Democratic presidents, Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton.[source]
