Same reason we seemed to get upset about the videos showing US soldiers dragged through the streets of Mogadishu behind a truck I guess.
I was just a little more upset about them being burned to death, but I acknowledge some Afghans will see it as an offense to their people or religion.
I've actually got a bit of empathy for the U.S soldiers (as well as for the dead ones and their families). At a guess, I'd say the U.S boys are young guys with fairly low intelligence and some big dream of how they will fight for truth, justice and the American way with lantern jaws thrust forward into battle but soon realised that, ... Fuck, people were shooting at them and doing nasty tricks to like, kill 'em and shit and when they were lucky enough not to be the dead ones their fear, nervousness and supremely over-wound adrenaline/testosterone mix had them doing something stupid like pissing on their opponents in a gesture of pure rage and relief is not all that remarkable. The fact that they were stupid enough to get filmed doing it is not so remarkable either.. War. No-one wins folks!
I tend to agree somewhat, notwithstanding my revulsion. In combat situations, folk do things that they would never do in civilian life, and I believe this is common to all cultures and armies. The animal nature of man gets the opportunity for exposure. Best solution is to move away from the culture of war that so infests this planet.
And as soon as the fundamentalists quit waging their idiotic jihad against the civilized people of the planet then we probably can. Not ONE of the major industrialized countries is apt to go to war against each other.
Their arms dealers need to create problems around the world so that American arms dealers can get a build up and then the Chinese will build up right along with them. Chinese need wars and conflicts to keep their arms dealers rolling in cash and that helps the American dealers just as much to increase their help to those who are being affected. In other words the arms dealers need each other to keep "stirring the pot" in order to have problems on either side.
To record it, and allow it to escape to the wilds of the internet, shows incredibly poor judgement. I'm sure the Taliban are jubilant over being handed such a propaganda coup.
A real soldier would piss on the chickenhawks who sent those young Marines to kill for Corporate reasons.
The "civilised people" comprising of the one's who are urinating of course? Poor form Arthur. And so their corpses must be urinated on? What is this? Dogs marking their territory? Oh wait, that's right. This is how "civilised" people act. Which still does not explain those soldiers urinating on their corpses. By dropping their pants and urinating on corpses? Celebrating would usually involve cheering and the like, which would be bad enough. Unless of course you are saying that Americans often drop their pants and urinate on dead bodies to 'celebrate'? Which is actually not something one should be proud of.
Don't piss on my dead body. Marine, or cute bunny rabbit, do not piss on my dead body. Burry me. DEEP. Im telling you.
