NASA comes out with many Announcements and presentations of their activities and I'd like one place to post to for all interested parties. Id like this to become a sticky topic, but if not I'd still like it used for regular postings about NASA activities.

    Excellent YouTube video.

NASA Science News for Dec. 9, 2011

NASA's Dawn probe, now orbiting Vesta in the asteroid belt, has found some surprising things on the giant asteroid--things that have prompted one researcher to declare Vesta "the smallest terrestrial planet."

Are you wishing NASA good luck or the spaceship plans?

NASA Science News for Dec. 20, 2011

NASA's Kepler spacecraft has found two Earth-sized planets orbiting a distant sun-like star. These alien worlds are intermingled in their star system with other much larger planets, an arrangement which challenges orthodox ideas of how planets are formed.

The picture they use for Kepler 20f however is misleading.

While roughly the size of the earth they are very close to their sun and way too hot to retain an atmosphere

Kepler-20e orbits its parent star every 6.1 days and Kepler-20f every 19.6 days. These short orbital periods mean very hot, inhospitable worlds. Kepler-20f, at 800 degrees Fahrenheit, is similar to an average day on the planet Mercury. The surface temperature of Kepler-20e, at more than 1,400 degrees Fahrenheit, would melt glass.

I didn't read more into the picture other than size comparison. What I did find very interesting was the fact that they could find such small worlds at a 1000 light years away.

That means finding a more earth like world, is just a matter of time.

NASA announces cold fusion breakthrough January 11, 2012.

Okay.. They call it LENR (Low Energy Nuclear Reaction), but it is exciting because we can finally replace gas in our cars with green energy. This is a confirmed historic breakthrough from NASA.

    Watch this video..
    http://technologygateway.nasa.gov/media/CC/lenr/lenr.html

There is already a thread discussing this (LENR), but since it is a historic day (imho), because a huge scientific organization has put credence into the LENR technology.

IT is a NASA announcement worth celebrating.

Some people still aren't buying it and anybody can throw a video together these days. NASA logo's are not to hard to come by. I still don't have a warm fuzzy about this.

I can understand misgivings about Andrea Rossi, but this video is an official NASA researcher talking on a NASA website.

This NASA thread is yours, perhaps you can verify if
    http://technologygateway.nasa.gov/media/CC/lenr/lenr.html
is the website NASA uses for press releases, etc.

It is an official NASA scientist on a film with logos on a NASA website.

Dr Joseph Zalowsky is not a reknowned Faker. He is a confirmed NASA researcher. His name is attached to patents (related to this energy) like the one below.

    http://lenr-canr.org/acrobat/ZawodnyJmethodforp.pdf

Dr Joseph Zalowsy is also known to have given a slide presentation at NASA on this subject. You can view his slideshow here.

    http://newenergytimes.com/v2/government/NASA/20110922NASA-Zawodny-GRC-LENR-Workshop.pdf

So it is not like this video was put together by "anyone". If you wish to suggest that a senior NASA research scientist misused the NASA logo, and had the video posted on a NASA press release website against their wishes, then that is a different matter.

This announcement means that NASA believes that shortly there will be 600 million less smog producing cars/trucks on the roads. We will be able to buy a car with a lifetime worth of fuel on board.

    It is very exciting..!
