Seriously http://www.sciforums.com/showthread.php?p=2870174#post2870174 Who else is sick of this behaviour? One rule for others and non to no one else. If mods are allowed to engage in discussion deterring from the OP, then is this, or should it be against the forum rules? Though, if any of us bring up the idea that moderation is sucking somehow, then we are naturally to post elsewhere (''in the appropriate subforum''). How is that fair, how is that justified and professional in any way! Sciforums has become a joke since I was banned properly! The way moderation happens now is a ridicule to their own rules! :bugeye: Who agrees?
Mister. See point G of the forum rules: 1. Members are encouraged to post general feedback regarding sciforums in the Site Feedback subforum. Matters of general interest regarding site policies and moderation (but not about individual moderators) should be posted to the Open Government subforum. 2. Specific complaints concerning the moderation of individual posts should in the first instance be directed by Personal Messaging to the moderator of the subforum in question. If that does not resolve the issue, send a personal message to a supermoderator or administrator. 3. Complaints about individual moderators should be directed to the administrators by Personal Messaging. This thread, if it belongs anywhere, belongs in open government. Why do you keep posting so much and almost always in the wrong place?
So where is the rule saying that a thread should not be about targeting someone? THERE SHOULD BE A RULE SAYING THAT IF SOMEONE DOES NOT TALK ABOUT THE OP THEN IT SHOULD NOT BE WORTH CONSIDERING AT ALL!!! Hit and fucking Miss, as per usual!!!!!!!!!! This ain't just about the mods. Mods are not or should not be outside the rules of derailing a thread!
Also I posted it in members because I wanted member reveiw. Why is that so hard to fathom?????? Enough for one night. Good night!
Yes mister. Open Government is the wrong place for complainging about moderators. It is normally in the members section. Oh nvm I see someone else moved it to the wrong forum. sigh
If you feel strongly that sciforums has become a joke, you can always go to some other forum that is not a joke. Flaming the moderators is unlikely to get you very far.
Indeed, but equally, what is the point, from a mods view to have an open government to challenge such things (especially when such things are blatent in my case) for a forum, than for a member to simply stay without the threat of leaving... .... unless after all this, you now regret having me back?
you alone james has admitted that mods have taken rules into their own hands. Maybe only out of honesty you have still admitted a mods misconduct, yet the person who complained about such, in your eyes, should leave maybe? Again, what is this place about, if not having your say?
He is not telling you to leave - he is telling you the same thing I'm trying to tell you - there is a good way and a bad way to go about getting something handled, no matter how major or minor the issue... at present, you have chosen the bad way. Step back, calm down, and reassess how you want to go about doing things...
like, the rule with Sadam over their heads maybe? Atleast, as far as I understand that rule, if anyone complained, they were beheaded Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
No he's not. I am asking him now, straight and forward, does he think he has made a mistake, and if so, I will leave. I will leave sciforums for good. They will never hear of Gareth Lee Meredith again. My existence will by futile here. Sad, but true. He in so many words, gave me life. He has now, on a plate, to diminish it all.
Hell, even people that didn't complain were beheaded, just to keep the rest scared. The mods have all the power. Most of the time they do a fine job, but sometimes they don't.
The obvious question Is there a reason, sir, that you would rather spend your time picking fights instead of demonstrating your critics incorrect?
It is true that Prometheus engaged in non-modlike behaviour. A post from James R said that he was in the wrong, and I assumed that he has stopped doing the censoring/editing etc. Is this matter still ongoing? I have never complained about a moderator in my life, and yet I felt I had to two days in a row here this week with Prometheeus. Did I miss something, or is that over and done with now?
Just to re-iterate the standing rule on moderation complaints that's in the stickied thread on this very forum:
@ kittamaru. Yes i said that in post 5. The thread was started in "members" forum about prometheus, however from the looks of Prometheus posts he moved it here and stated that this is the correct forum. he said and then either he moved it, or some other mod moved it to here. I think he is wrong because of stryders rules in this part of the forum??? Go go prometheus. This should be in "about members" The stickied thread in members is different than open government.
