Well I'm not saying they can get who they want, but they can get laid. Like I said, if it's so difficult for guys then there must be a lot of virgin females out there and just a few slutty broads. Obviously that's not the case. Women love sex too, and they find it hard to turn down attractive guys. Thankfully.

Simply not true. And you are making an invalid assumption too. There are lots of virgin/unstatisfied women out there, they just don't lower their standards. Just because they could get laid, that doesn't mean they do it...

true, true. . . I can't argue with you there. But, again, you make my case for me. It shouldn't be what's wrong with women. . . But what the hell is wrong with people? I have never understood how the system justified such things. Prison should be punishment and a restriction on things previously enjoyed and taken as the priviledge of a free life. Of course it's true. Unless you're not living in a progressive western country, there is no invalid assumption in the fact that women like sex too and they have sexual relationships just like men. As was explained to you before, there is not some limited number of extremely slutty women or men walking around with a disproportionate number of virgins of the opposite gender. Both sexes can actually get laid quite easily. Whether some hold some unrealistic expectation that's beyond them is not really the point at hand.
Have you ever heard of the saying, "the ole ball and chain". This was how men lovingly described their life with their wife, since it was sort of a livable prison sentence, with your cell mate instead of soul mate. The reason for this male lament, was the women worked hard to change their men into image of what they think their male should be. This is often based on what culture tells them. Men tend to give their wife more freedom to be what makes her feel comfortable. The male feels like he is in a comfortable prison created by his wife, who restricts his freedom to be who he is. Guys often like to act like boys, which can be frowned upon. But if his wife acts like a kitten he accepts that. There is sort of a dual standard that men get used to dealing with. The women who fall in love with men in prison, take the ball and chain analogy to the limit, because their male has a literal ball and chain, locked in a prison. She has the freedom to be herself, literally, on the outside, while he is grateful to her even while in prison. It is the ideal ball and chain scenario for the female. What makes it even more ideal is the connection to the bad boy. The bad boy is hard to ball and chain, since he is a free spirit and hard to break. If the bad boy is in literal prison, the female can have a ball and chain scenario with the bad boy, thereby making the mutually exclusive combine. Part of the reason for so much divorce, compared to the past, are the modern males do not except the ball and chain as dutifilly as their fathers. Also modern women tend to add more chain gang labor to the prison sentence that the males of the past did not have to do; wash dishes. The modern males try to escape. The bad boy male behavior is the file that can cut through even the strongest chain. Still the ball and chain seems useful to the male, but he looks for a lighter prison sentence with less security; soul mate instead of cell mate.
On what planet??? During the era you're describing, the way American men treated their wives wasn't much different from the old German slogan, Kinder, kirche, kuchen: "Children, church, kitchen." "Housewives" were "free" to do whatever they wanted in the home, including tending the garden and playing bridge with their friends, but as far as doing something outside the home, that had better be restricted to shopping, the book club, taking the children to the doctor, or another woman's home for the bridge game. In any case, housework took up most of their time unless their husband made enough money to hire a helper, so there wasn't much opportunity to leave home for anything except more chores. I remember that era, the late 1940s and most of the 1950s. My mother lived that life, and because she didn't make friends easily (born in the Bohemian ghetto in Chicago and had a thick accent for many years) she didn't even have the bridge club. When she finally got a job working outside the home, so they'd have enough money to send me to college, it was still a little bit scandalous even in 1958. No matter how old a man is, deep down inside he acts like a little boy. No matter how young a girl is, deep down inside she acts like a mother. Where do you live, the Ozarks??? It's often the women who decide to escape, now that they can get (sort of) real jobs and have a decent income. As for "chain gang labor," I can tell that you're much younger and have no idea what life was like 50-60 years ago. There was a lot more work for everybody, but especially the wife. No dishwasher, a wringer washing machine, no clothes dryer, no microwave oven, no coffeemaker, no blender, cleaning products that required intense scrubbing, clothes that had to be ironed, and a vacuum cleaner that looked like a battleship and was almost as heavy and hard to maneuver as one. "Housekeeping" actually was a full-time job in those days. Men often worked harder at their jobs than we do, because many of them required a lot more physical labor. But when the whistle blew they went off to the bar with their buddies, and came home when the "little woman" had the house clean, the kids bathed and dinner on the table. In a way I'm proud that you live in an era when you can't imagine how hard life was for my mother or your great-grandmother, because it means that your wife has freedom they never dreamed of. But on the other hand it would be nice if you understood what a battle it was for women to achieve the kind of freedom your wife has, which BTW is nowhere near parity with men.
