I wonder...would this be your response if the Yemenis were bombing anti-government demonstrators in your country? Would you write them a polite letter telling them to stop being twats by killing you while you tell your government why you disagree with them?

If Al-Qaeda was training terrorists on my soil (they are but not in giant open training camps) and for some reason my own government was completely ineffective at being able to stop them, sure I would be ok with it.

The problem SAM is there is a world of difference between anti-government demonstrators and Terrorists.

    THIS is Terrorism:

    This is anti-government demonstrators:

I can't believe you aren't smart enough to see the difference.

Secondly, we are using drones to kill Al Qaeda Terrorists in isolated areas outside of Yemani control, no such place exists in the US so we don't really need their help to police our country.

Yeah, but if they were anti-government Shia rebels that the dictator wanted to get rid of and called al Qaeda? Doesn't anyone find it weird that a Shia cleric like Awlaki would join a Sunni organisation like al Qaeda? Or is America still so ignorant after 10, 20, 30, 60! years in the Middle East that they cannot comprehend why Saleh is violently suppressing the Shias in Yemen just like the Saudis did in Bahrain?

Well I'm happy to see that you can tell the difference between terrorism and anti-government demonstrators. Which again beggars belief why Americans are combining figure A with figure B and bombing anti-government demonstrators in Yemen and calling them terrorists.

Strange. His wiki page gives him as Sunni, not Shia. Where do you see him described as Shia?

Maybe he forgot what he was.

From his name. Also how can he lecture in a religious school when he has no training in religious education? I can't find any connection to this uni in Arabic media. In fact, its interesting that for someone who was influencing so many people, he seems to be relatively non-existent outside the US media

Or maybe his "history" is manufactured, like the US strikes in Yemen which didn't happen outside wikileaks. Hmm maybe now the Iraqis can bomb Robert Spencer for inciting attacks against Muslims. Or the Afghanis can send a drone to the house of that cartoonist who created anti-Islam sentiment. Clearly, saying negative things about anyone is now terrorism. The sum total of Awlakis crime: he made videos! In English!

Except our Air Force hasn't operated in Yemen.

You mean, they were flying Saudi or Yemeni planes?
But its all fine because just as the White House Refuses To Offer Any Proof That Anwar Al-Awlaki Was Involved In Terrorist Activity and Wikileaks cable corroborates evidence of US airstrikes in Yemen, the Yemeni government tells us that there is No Evidence Awlaki Was Actually Killed

No one flys cruise missles SAM

    Remember, the quote
Which implies the killings were from the planes that were involved and Yemen has it's own airforce.

Those were Yemani pilots flying Yeman planes SAM

If you would pay attention you would notice our Drones are pretty good at taking out Al Qaeda, and not civilians.

    More BS SAM.

If you are a member of Al Qaeda you are a Terrrorist.

Doesn't matter if all you do is make videos.

Until the group renounces VIOLENCE as it's means of change, it will continue to find missles coming down on them.

Which is irrelevant since the drone strikes that "killed" Awlaki were fired by Americans from American planes in American air strikes. Which btw, are still on, with Yemen faithfully insisting that its their own planes, even when the targets are Yemeni military bases. Cos, you know, the Yemenis have no clue where their soldiers are camped.

And yeah, those "militants"? Still demonstrating, and hopefully will keep demonstrating until Saleh is ousted, no matter how many US air strikes hit the "al Qaeda" hideouts in the Shia community

A look at the protests in Yemen, which unlike Tahrir square, haven't made it to CNN

But what is the evidence of this link to al Qaeda? Can we see this evidence? And you should worry, because you're bombing Yemeni kids and many of their fathers work in western countries. The biggest Yemeni diaspora is in the UK and US.

Yeah just a coincidence that the drone attacks and protests are all happening in the same places. And once they are killed and cannot be identified they become al Qaeda militants even though no one can match a body to a face

No SAM, they have been identifying the people killed as members of Al Qaeda, by name, and if political protests were the subject of military attacks, then that gathering would have been a choice target.

    But it wasn't targeted.

The fact is that peaceful political protests aren't being attacked by the military.

So SAM why did you cut my post short?
    Leave out this part:

You see SAM, until they DO renounce violence they can expect to be attacked and they can expect the attacks to also kill the people they surround themselves with.

    Why?

Anyone here for just a short time picks up on the fact that our target is Terrorists and Al Qaeda
