Hmm. I think I will take my counsel (and that of an orthopedic surgeon and a radiologist) over yours.

It's fortunate that the Internet is around to correct them!

Right. But female fetuses do spend nine months developing - and their hymen does not close off their vagina completely. So it looks like only half the population of the planet has their vagina exposed to amniotic fluid WHILE THEIR BODY IS DEVELOPING AND GROWING.

Oh, and BTW - I'd suggest you peruse some textbooks on human development. You'll discover that for the first few weeks the embryo is completely exposed to amniotic fluid. Indeed, at about four weeks your entire spine is wide open to the fluid in the growing amniotic sac. And yet amazingly, somehow we all survive that horrible trauma.

What is the point of the female orgasm?

The release of oxytocin, a regulating hormone, according to the information at the following link.

Most things need justification. Orgasms, it seems to me, need no justification.

The thing is playing with the vaginal entrance while stimulating the clit is like a guy getting his balls suck during a hand job . Some guys with extremely sensitive balls don't like that . There is a G spot . It don't give you orgasms but it can intensify them. Like a deep kiss just before you cum , or hands running in your hair , but for some of you more so . Like having your nipples sucked while getting clitoral stimulation at the same time . Some of you adventurous girls know what I mean . It is some of us get off better with a partner . Not that we don't get off by our selves , but a partner teasing each other in slow motion is good too . The pleasure lasts a lot longer than a 2 minute self whack job so you can get threw to lunch . Just Joking ! I am old ! I don't whack off that much anymore

as an orthopedic surgeon im sure she spends ALL her time studying the respitory tract, the GI tract, the reproductive system, the cardiac system, and the renal system doesnt she? Fact that someone has "Dr" in there name means apsolutly nothing, infact even the head of the ambulance service (who is a doctor BTW) refers to most doctors as "drip stands".

If she thinks back to medical school she might rember when they explained the GI tract and the fact that its OUTSIDE the body. She might also rember the fact that when she studied the respitory system she would have learned that the lungs are a semi permible membrane. Yes water can pass through if there is enough of it (ie you are drowning in fresh water so that the osmotic pressure gradient flows from the lungs to the blood streem). The kidneys form an ovious barier. So where is the barrier in the female reproductive tract? Seriously i would love to know because if ectopic pregancy can form anywhere in the abdominal cavity (as the ICPs lecturing us explained) then it certainly isnt at the folopian tube end, so where is it?

im not talking about women who were mutilated. im talking about all women, including those intact tend to get uti when preggo, not always the case. but usually if you have a uti, and its possible the doctors will do a pregnancy test.

personally i would like to believe that the hymen is there for a purpose. a defense against something, im guessing.

the fact that age for even young girls to have the common uti's , means the hymen doesn't exactly prevent things like infections. but than again every womens hymen is different.

thanks for the tip. i did not know that infants don't breath a liquid oxygen . all their oxygen comes from the embilocal cord.

i also did not know that the infants lungs will fill up with fluids, urine and sometimes fecal. ewww!

well, I'm sure a doctor, who has gone to college and medical school, and a surgeon who has had even more schooling, just might be a bit more knowledgeable that a ambulance volunteer. So someone who has Dr in front of their name means a lot more than 'nothing' :bugeye:

a pnumothorax is a break between the plural space and the outside. It can either be through the lung itself (for instance with tall skinny pts and pts with emphasima) or it can be through the chest wall itself. The difference between a simple pnumothorax and a tensioning pnumothorax is that in a simple pnumothorax the pressure caused by the chest movement moves air in and out of the plural space which means that only 1 lung (the injured side) is compromised. If the wound becomes a 1 way valve (for instance from the skin covering the chest wall) then air enters when you breath in and becomes trapped and cant escape when you breath out. There for the interthoraxic pressure rises, the pressure pushes across the midline, causing a midline shift of the tracea, crushing the vena cava (meaning no venus return and therefore no blood flow to the heart and brain), and compromising the remaining lung so it cant inflate.

And im not just a volly ambo, im almost compleated my training to be a professional paramedic. I know in the US EMTs are the lowest grade of HC workers but they are proffessionals here.

Nope. Those are just a few of the things she studied. There's a lot of systems in there.

It must be annoying to have all your feces on the outside of your body! Gets your clothing all poopy and whatnot.

    The cervical opening.

I think it would be easier to take your novel theories about anatomy seriously if you could spell the various structures of the body.

Anyone else had a woman "orgasm" without even touching down there? I mean like just from kissing and playing with her girls? Awesome.

    Dear Sciforums,

I never thought letters like this were true until it happened to me. I met a girl that tickled my frontal lobe
and my special place. It all happened one day as I was perusing EMJ, when unbeknownst to me...

and with that 1 statement you just proved that you have no knowlage whatsoever about anatomy.

then of course there is this:

    mad is a doctor BTW

I'd advise you to get a good book on anatomy. Netter is an excellent one. Gray is another. They'll show you where the internal organs are. (Sorry, "external organs" by your definition.) They will also show you that the hymen is perforated and cannot possibly "keep amniotic fluid out."

(And yes, topologically, your GI tract and lungs are like "inner tubes with two holes" that really only have one surface. And yes, they are still internal organs, and they are still inside your body.)
