Dr Shuker is a highly qualified zoologist and author, who would be a reliable professional to oversee the proceedings.

Yes, I'm a believer in animals which are more intelligent than a dog or cat and are able to remain undetected by mainstream science. The flying cryptid is another one which is able to remain undetected by mainstream scrutiny.

P.S Giambattista, that avatar is a tad too offensive for my message board

    So am I.
There are probably dozens of undiscovered animals, most of which will become extinct before we ever get a chance to see them.
They would not have to be particularly intelligent, just secretive or remote.

But we won't be finding any in Britain.
And that lion saliva will be proved pure lion once Mr Shuker gets onto it.
    Hurry him up.
    I want my £4 (approx)

I've emailed him but I'm still waiting for a reply this time. He must be a busy man. Maybe he'll take notice, maybe he won't. Anyone reading this thread has an opportunity for sponsorship btw

Oh-em-gee, I just heard on TV last night that the waning moon has moderate tides. Kerching. It's the reason red crabs travel across the land and the females seek the sea to release their eggs. It favors the aquatic female fishing cycle. Moderate tides with a moderate moon. Perfect conditions for swimming and hunting by sight. It fits with the idea of a male fighting season, at the same time as female activity for the 5 days of a waning moon. Hence the high attack rate for unsuspecting humans, we look too much like rampant maned dogmen on their rear legs. A maned dogman in the height of 'musk' is too stupid to spot the difference, or care..

It's the best explanation there is given the facts. The real lion hypothesis simply doesn't fit as well.

Looking like a rampant male dogman is a more sensible solution for lion attacks than the lion being hungry?
    That's a good one!

That may apply to you CSS, but I look nothing like a rampant male dogman.
I would probably be quite safe in Africa then.

Did the professor even return your email?

Is it a site for children?
    That one's very good. B+
I think it should be pinned up on the classroom wall.

    common_sense_seeker,

Seriously, this thread is retarded. I went camping this weekend and a bear ate my toilet paper (I watched the entire affair). The relevance? Nothing. Just like this thread. Let it die before someone assassinates it.

The short coated grey female dogman which appears infront of lone intruders of their woodland or remote territory is a good alternative to the grey alien from outerspace imagery of the 80's. This is a very real phenomenon, whether you like it or not.
