All that means is that there is a lot of gene stealing going on in nature. It is certainly a remarkable thing, but all of us are composed of molecular machines. Our machines will eventually become that small too, and enter the realm of chemistry. We already know it can be done.

Microbes from space is a recent subject in a NASA scientist's peer reviewed paper.

The science police were quick to give him a ticket but the trial is still pending.

Whether microbes exist on other planets and have come to earth in comets or asteroids that become meteorites is a valid question.

Especially since the recent revolution in human cognition and genetics, concerning symbiosis of microbe and humans.

That should have some bearing on our cosmological theories to say the least.

The Big Bang is implicated by the theory of machines evolving into microbes, and doing so here, there, and everywhere, which is also cosmology.

A narrow gene-set or a narrow meme-set is not good for progress.

On the contrary. Fascination with the unkown and appreciation of our ever improving understanding of the world fuelled my passion for science. What I will not tolerate is willful misinterpretation of data so as to obfuscate the true wonder of the universe and replace it with a mish-mash of dogma, jargon and pseudoscience.

I view police as a desirable element in society. They are persons responsible (to me and other citizens) for ensuring that society is run in a rational, consistent way.

'Science police', if they existed, would fulfill a similar important function, ensuring that the scientific process was applied correctly and that the willful misinterpretations referred to above were condemned. So I view your 'accusation' that I am an example of such 'science police,' as a deep compliment. Thank you.
