Back from orientation, it took 6am-5pm :L we got uniforms and our assignments tomorrow I"m going 6am-3:30pm :L He said they intend to eventually staff many employees there because it's a huge manufacturing facility with need of security. Anyways I'm gonna do my best to keep it, I've done security before and if they don't become anal it's relatively easy to handle. I once had a woman supervisor that hated me, it was like going to hell every day :Z ok well I wanna go do stuff now goodnite guys
That sounds like a fairly thorough orientation. All the best in this new endeavor. Security work is likely to be on the increase with economic times becoming more uncertain and theft and civil disobedience a greater potential. Is your task targeted more at the security of people or property? Are you permitted to carry weapons? Will you be expected to perform arrest and control procedures (including handcuffing and restraints)? Did you have to take additional first aid training?
My observation about some of the more immature security officers I've worked with...is that it's a job that requires little more than a pulse, an ability to show up on time, and some vague intent to do an honest days work for an honest day( or night's) pay. Some don't have that. Have met several-my last coworker would disappear after 10 pm and go sleep somewhere off post in the security vehicle. She screamed at me for telling the boss, who never did anything about it besides call her and wake her up. She never did not go to sleep on the job. We lost that post and I was stuck working part time for three very hairy months.
New Life I'm deciding to purge people from my life that aren't needed in it anymore, or never were. So I am ridding myself of a few. Actually, a purging is seldom necessary. As our interests change, so do the people we associate with and relationships, of any order, continually evolve. It's a natural process. In the brief time that I have been here, I gathered the impression that perhaps you have been in a holding pattern, with little positive energy to motivate you. I need darksidZz resolve to get rid of this giant pile of old debit card receipts and obsolete mail piled in my bedroom right now. I prefer to shred them, but the pile is so big that shredding will take me forever. 2012 will be the year I shred the pile
That's an interesting thought.. It makes me think about how some people are habitual changers and some people are chronic stayers the same. It seems difficult to find people who "evolve" at a somewhat measured and steady rate..
It is because people 'evolve' at different rates, psychologically and emotionally, that many friendships and intimate relationships are not capable of surviving the challenges. Some people require a lot of change to realize their potential, while others are 'keepers of the flame.' Nature has similar models. Within species, there is great diversity between individuals. Change is the constant. The direction and pace of change is ever variable.
