    A silly question,

Why there are many people like Apple MAC OSX ?
I used apple before, I feel that it is not special, though user-friendly too,
but everything Apple can do Windows can do it better.

I don't like it and I have tried it. The only thing that it has going for it, to me, is that it doesn't get as many virus problems as does all the rest. It is over priced and over rated. IMHO

I was A PC user since the beginning of PC's. I swtiched to a Mac a few years ago. It was awkward at first, but its quirks became familiar over time. The thing I missed most about the switch was having to tinker with Windows for some reason or another. The Mac was so problem free there was nothing for me to do. At first I actually missed all the extra work I used to do. It made me feel more PC literate. With a PC, setting up a e-mail account requires filling in a form. You mat neef to go to your provider to see what their settings are. The MAC only needs your e-mail address and your done. That level of simplicity starts to spoil you and make you lazy. You spend more time driving instead of working in the garage.

The MAc allows you to install both operating systems and read/write between the two partitians. I did this with Windows 7, so I could have the best of both worlds. But after the easy life on the Mac, I gradually lost the urge to work in the garage.

As Wellwisher points out its tinker-problem free. I would never dream of going back to a PC.

MAC OSX finder dos not allow Cutting document, very weird, you can copy paste and then come back to delete it.

I'm on my dads PC an iMac :L OS X is alright but the problem is they should be so much further advanced in the interface than they currently are, so should Microsoft. For instance why hasn't Microsoft implemented workspaces yet? Is something wrong with them? They have a fairly good release but you need 3rd party software like CubeDesktop to gain features that OS X and Linux offer free? To me this shows extreme neglect in certain areas almost to a point of idiocy.

OS X has it's own problems, exactly why is the dock not skinable by default? RocketDock for Windows is far superior so it begs the question is there something wrong with Apple itself to not have a them-able appearance manager yet? Also why can't I relocate the top to the bottom and the dock to the top? There's simply to much wrong with Apples UI that makes me wonder if kids designed it or what.

    Anyways that's how i feel

The only thing I could say apple devices have going for them is good hardware-software-ui integration.
things are meant to work together by defaut, and they do, and the result is good.

Thus, the appeal of mac is for people who like pretty things. You know, faggots.

Because it passes the preppy "it's cool, expensive, and fashionable but essentially shit" test.
So they can look down on others and laugh at them for being lesser people, whilst others look down on them and laugh for priotising coolness over functionality and cost effectiveness.
It's actually quite a handy system when you think about it.

Although this point is not about the OS, I really have decided that Iphone's are predominantly a personification of evil which people should stay clear of....

More seriously the "invalidation of warranty" should a person "jailbreak" their Iphone is pretty absurd, what Apple should of done was outputted an Iphone Pro or something where at least you could tweak with the settings rather than being locked out of making the simplest of adjustments.

The other gripe I have is the spell check, you'll be surprised how many messages to various online communities become obfuscated by the spellcheck changing the word automatically after you've typed it the way you want.

If I had decided to own one, it would have likely gone the same way as the other phones that have watery graves.

Corporations use advertisements to make themselves seem warm, fuzzy and friendly, the reality is they are however a corporation, their existence is fueled by propaganda to get the unwary consumer to part with their limited available capital over some gimmick. The term "Sheeple" is often used to represent this slumbering consumer driven monster that cuts various common sense factors out of their purchasing criteria.

iPhone is successful because they actually put in features people like. Why did so many smartphone companies struggle to come up with decent touchsceen until Apple??! I guess they do that with other things like Macs and ipads. Even the original iPod was way better than most mp3 players 6 years ago.

Really that's a matter of opinion. I had a creative labs mp3, which at the time was marginally bigger than an original ipod, but twice the capacity and half the price. Of course it never had a huge marketing campaign behind it....

Yeah but simple things like the clickwheel made it user friendly. The thing I didnt like was the need to have obnoxious iTunes installed on the PC. My creative labs player was just plug in, drap and drop.
