Will humans evolve any further, will society become lesser, or will the gap widen?

I read in my high school book that the outer part our body hair and male nipples are useless parts of human body and human will evolve by removing them .

My thoughts would be that we are soon to see a blip on our evolution chart as the impacts of increasing population and the dwindling of some resources brings about rapid change, whether through competition or co-operation, though my guess would be the former, at least unless we experience total economic collapse.

As a few others have touched on, there is the possibility of a split between those with access to the technology and resources and those largely without. As far as which group will exhibit the greatest intelligence, that remains to be seen. The dependency on man-made power for the support of our modern lifestyle may be the weak point, unless we get some better infra-structure in place to deal with the weather weirdness and social uprising potentials happening globally.

There remains a base of traditional knowledge which is not dependent upon technology, which still remembers how to live in harmony with nature, albeit at far lower population densities.

I would not totally rule out the possibility of nature taking a hand in the restoration of those lower population densities, as we ourselves are only shifting which population groups are actually reproducing in greater numbers, frequently being populations which have inadequate resources for such growth.

In the wild, when a species expands beyond the carrying capacity of it's habitat, there comes a natural restructuring. Because we are a species with marvelous adaptive ability and technology, we have been able to maintain the 'threshold moment' of this restructuring far beyond what any other species could have accomplished.

The restructuring, when it comes, may therefore be of a scale and intensity never before experienced and possibly quite beyond our projections and modeling.

We will evolve and survive, I do not doubt, but I suggest that the species is about to get an 'extreme makeover'.

Some hair is in strategic areas. Look at your eyebrows and eyelashes but the IDK, those instances seem more like really good ideas but how functional are they really?
Has anyone noticed their eye brows keeping things out of their eyes?

Eyelashes may enable peeps to look at brighter objects due to squinting.

I find it strange how males lose hair on their heads and then GET hair in their ears and on their backs. There is no reason for that.

Even my facial hair is spreading upward. When I trim my beard I have to shave much higher on my cheeks than I used to. Some men grow much longer eyebrow hairs.

My hairdresser says her husband has her wax his ears. I tried that once. There aren't enough W's to write yowwwwie! accurately.

I doubt that. Nipples are on all male mammals (AFAIK) and mammals have been around for 100 million years - I doubt that we would be the first to have them dissapear. It is an interesting point though - why are they there. I assume that since they are vital for females to have nipples that there must be some biological spill over into the male genes. That is really weak - I will have to look into that.

Human hair is very useful as a dry lubricant. That is why you have axilary (under arm) and pubic (naughty parts) hair. Hair on your head helps keep your noggin warm. Hair on your arms and legs helps you detect biting flies and such before the little bastards bite you.

Ear, nose and back hair on old farts repells young women, so they are available to procreate with young men and maintain the species.

The mammaries are a type of aprocrine gland, which also includes the sweat glands. Perhaps this sheds some light on the subject.

Well, this is a very interesting question. I was planning on creating exactly similar thread.
I think you missed two interesting possibilities -extinction and converegence into something like "world wide brain".
