The Fools Life Sucks Then You Die http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gejSEOnaYek I like some country western, but I think this is about the sadist most pathetic song I've ever heard. If anyone knows of a sadder song please post it and maybe if we have a few choices we can have a vote on the sadist song ever.
I was going to point out that you clearly mean "saddest" song, but then I figured it would be more fun to just post actual sadist songs: Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
Stupid spell checkerPlease Register or Log in to view the hidden image! I stand corrected. Saddest please.
Yeah, good catch. Rock'n'Roll Never Felt So Good, maybe? Probably we also need some Cannibal Corpse or Cryptopsy to round out the list... Also, Akercocke. And some black metal, although I'll leave that to the experts on such...
LOL....... I actually listened to it......the whole thing, so that I might consider myself to have an informed opinion on THIS song. If the rest of you think I'm going to listen to many more songs on this thread.......don't bet your paycheck. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! It must be something distinctly male psyche to start threads relating to 'World's ugliest woman', 'Sadist song ever' and other such titles as to invite comparison of disparaging content. It doesn't really 'float my boat' to pursue such avenues for long, so I'll leave this topic for those who have a talent for it.....
How about the song "Seasons in the Sun" can't remember whodunnit but it's about a dying soldier bewailing all the things he's gonna miss when he finally croaks. I can only wish he was shot somewhere a little more lethal really..
Linda Ronstadt: Long Long Time This was one of my signature tunes forty years ago when I was a guitar-pickin' folksinger. I still do it on karaoke nights.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eec6fYuUTYU Terry Jacks - Seasons In The Sun This has to be the cutest sad song I've ever heard. There were several other groups who did this title. If this one is not the one you were thinking of, use the YouTube search engine . If you type in any title it will find all the groups that published it and you can play each version.
I think you might be a little quick to count this topic out, but that's just me.Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
I don't like metal of any kind, and how would you know if it was sad or not, I can't get by the screaming noise to figure out what the songs are even about.
Oh yeah then there was the "Lady d'Urberville" by donovan or someone like that. Basically the guy's singing all the praises of this woman he's fondling - and she turns out to be slightly dead. It makes picking bridesmades a bit tricky, but maybe necrophilia was bigger in the sixties..classic..
Just about any song from the band "Pink Floyd" from their album "The final cut" though the title song is about suicide. They also sing about a nuclear bomb going off (Two suns in the Sunset) They sing about a rear-gunner shot down by thr Germans, and his thoughts as he plunges towards the earth (The Gunners' dream) and others. If you're feeling happy and full of life, this album will change all that. Also check out "Captain Lockheed and the Starfighters" and the song "Catch a falling Starfighter". It's about a batch of defective aircraft the US sold to the Germans that killed about 18 out of the 20 pilots that tried to fly them, true story aparrently.. The whole album is about the scandal.
All this could lead me to drink: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fHmD3bSF9pg But maybe I should try progenitorivox instead... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eZPZG92iYE4&feature=related
