Happyness of Arabs The Arabs aren't happy! BUT WHERE? They're not happy in Gaza. They're not happy in Egypt. They're not happy in Libya. They're not happy in Morocco. They're not happy in Iran. They're not happy in Iraq. They're not happy in Yemen. They're not happy in Afghanistan. They're not happy in Pakistan. They're not happy in Syria. They're not happy in Lebanon. In short they are unhappy in every muslim country. The Arabs are happy! BUT WHERE? They're happy in England. They're happy in France. They're happy in Italy. They're happy in Germany. They're happy in Sweden. They're happy in the USA. They're happy in Norway. They're happy in India. They're happy in every country that is not Muslim. And who do they blame? Not Islam. Not their leadership. Not themselves. WHOM DO THEY BLAME THEN? THEY BLAME THE COUNTRIES THEY ARE HAPPY IN!
They should really blame themselves because it was them who allowed those dictators to control them for all of these years.
Both profound and accurate, and I really mean it despite the Dr Seuss-esque (yet effective) quality of the OP. Of course, we're talking about two basically different kinds of Muslims. The ones who embrace foreign countries, and the ones who hate foreign countries. But the end result is the same. The ones who "stay home" remain in cultures that thrive on everyone, from the heads of state down to the small children, engaging in the endlessly stirring the pot.
Look at their history and religious teaching. They are given the task of converting the world to their religion. Persuade people of the book (while letting them live) and for everyone else: convert or die. That's pretty cranky mindset to be saddled with. You would think they would be ecstatic in Muslim countries. It's kind of like the soviet system, if the system is so great, how come it sucks so much to be them? Do you think that will ever dawn on any of them? Good OP. Good topic.
Well, the Turks aren't Arabs, but they are Muslims and they seem very happy right now indeed- economy's growing, diplomatic clout growing, political freedoms seem to be increasing for the most part and have always been far ahead of the curve compared to other Muslim nations. The Saudis are also happy too, but that's because their citizens are bribed with their own oil money, of which they should actually be receiving a much greater share in order to invest in their future.
I observe from the profile that the OP is a Hindu, and that the avatar being used is symbolic of Hinduism. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hindu I am unable to offer an informed opinion on the topic under discussion presently, but I do find the dialogue presently underway rather interesting. Perhaps I will learn more about people that live half a world away, and a place where my life's path seems unlikely to take me.
Which may explain the inclusion if India among the places where "Arabs are happy" - a dubious assertion. The OP left out China, also - and Indonesia, Israel, and several other places. It included Iran, a place with {comparatively} few Arabs. But who knows what "the Arabs" actually means, in such a context?
*Happiness. These countries are mostly non-Arab, with only Iran having any significant number of Arabs within it's population. Not to mention that many people within all of the other countries you mentioned are not Arab, and some are not even Muslim. What is your definition of a "muslim country"? I doubt they are all happy, as no one population is happy all of the time. Not to mention that Arabs are scapegoated, stereotyped as terrorists, suffer the brunt of the Islamophobia running rampant in the West. I'm sure a lot of non-Muslims living in Arab nations are, or they are at least blaming Islamic authorities. Are you unaware of the recent events collectively known as the "Arab Spring"? The list of who to blame has a long number of other people to blame before it reaches the typical Arab living in North Africa or the Middle East. How do they blame these countries that supposedly have the power to make every Arab happy?
