I would like it if all children were DNA checked and given a full genome map so when they were looking for a mate at some future date, they would have something to check and maybe avoid genetic problems in their children. It seems that might be more important than hiding the fact that a child might not be someones blood. I even suspect of that 15% many of the men would still agree to raise that child as there own in order to keep the woman they married.

    I cringe reading that link.

As for me, to have just one boyfriend is already distracting too much, it's almost like a full-time job

. I can't understand how people managed to have multiple relationships or seeing more than one person....??

I agree. Dating sucks it's a total stressbag. I can't fathom the time/stress to fuck around behind someone's back. If people have open relationships that's up to them , good on them...but the if you have to lie to get your rocks off you are fked in the head.

Some subjects are worth talking about. That article was a good way to kick off this subject. I also believe that whatever the OP is about the OP poster should state his or her position. My position is based on my 60+ years of life and I know there's many younger people that grew up in a different world than I did, so I'm very interested in their opinions on this subject. Anyway there is a big difference between how a teenager with raging hormones and a mature person might feel about this subject and I am interested in that. Also, there is a lot of positions in between those two extremes.

If pretending to be monogamous while having flings (which moderates the flinging, a benefit) is part of basic human nature, who are we to fight it?

I read a lot of Robert Heinlein, and he wrote considerably about a multitude of relationship possibilities that could work if the participants were emotionally secure and if finances were not a factor contributing to the stress.

There is also a considerable body of music that has spoken to the subject, albeit somewhat subtly. This is one of my favorite songs for persons who can only make a limited commitment ........

    Allow me to rephrase that.

Likely they're all good in the proper circumstances.

I found the right one for me.

May those who are seeking a companion for life's journey be equally fortunate.

I've worked with men most of my life.

Those that aren't terrified of me, actually kind of like me.

They just haven't got a clue what to do with a woman who can catch, gut and fillet her own damn fish, lol.....

The most shocking thing ever happened to me?

My friend's hubby asked me for advice with his finicky chainsaw, lol.....

Made my day! (Not that I fixed it......just that he asked.....)

Not really, I just really like hip hop and I like that YouTube doesn't censor music. Try Khia or Three 6 Mafia if you don't mind very ranchy.

Most working women could say that.

I like you just fine and I'm okay with a woman that can do some things better than me.

I wouldn't have it any other way.

    Your reputation precedes you.

Yep...I avoided humping a guy who was hung like a horse...because something on there looked iffy.

I was really sorry to do it too. Biggest one I've ever seen in person.

I never expected such a little, scrawny guy to have a giant pants torpedo like that...or to put the moves on me because I let him surf my couch.

I just felt sorry for him and was going to let him sleep on the couch...then...interesting things happened, and...

At first I was all like:xctd: and then I was all like:bugeye:

What about nonmonogamy affairs? Which is more damaging?

Read on (emotional affairs) in Wikipedia.

Polygamy requires more resources than does monogamy. For example, the various aspects of the social welfare system, which supports mother's raising children without fathers, is due to polygamy. The males in the inner city use this approach and have children scattered overwhere. The only way to run an experiment to see which is better (monogamy versus polygamy) in an objective way, is to remove all the extra funding handicap so the two orientations can be compared in a controlled way. I trying to address which is objectively better and not subjectively better; rational vs irrational.

Don't get me wrong, if one is young and enjoys playing the field, this is normal and natural, especially for the males. But this behavior also has pitfalls that will need other social mops to help clean up the mess, so we can create the subjective illusion this is better. For example, part of the above objectivity test would be to take away all medications and treatments for STD's, so we can have a controlled experiment for an objective comparison. Another subjective data stacker has to do with abortion. We need to remove this option, temprarily, for the objectivity test, so the results aren't slanted subjectively using the handicap of extra social cost.

Liberal social illusions always have extra costs. Once these costs are hidden by making them appear to be a routine part of culture, the magic trick is ready. The young people are not well educated by liberal public schools and can't see the game that they are programmed to ignore. We need to take magic out of education in bring in science.

Don't get me wrong, there is an added excitement in polygamy that one will not get as easily within monogamy, except near the beginning when both are about the same in terms of novelty. There is also an excitement one will get with drugs and alcohol one won't get with a burger and coke. That excitement is objective, but is only part of the equation, more geared toward the thrill of the individual. But the total objective needs to add all the other social costs to the excitement.

Maybe a full comparision would be to making all drugs legal, and then asking the liberal magicians to make an illuson that says doing this is the new social standard for excitement and fun. It is all natural since rats and apes in tests like alchohol and crack.

This magic might work for the individual, at least in the short term. But there will be an extended cost that will spill over into culture. If we could get liberal big government to foot that bill so this secondary social cost is disguised as just part of normal business, the new drug standard may look like a good idea. But we will need to use the liberal science magic to alter the objective equation. Then the young people we call it natural human.

I think it's less likely people will stop having feelings for someone just because a logical genome map tells them they should. Emotions rarely follow logic.
Personally I don't think many men would stay. I certainly couldn't be with someone I no longer trusted, who obviously didn't feel for me what I do for them. But I know the lure of regular sex is too much for most men to pass on.

For some women getting pregnant by one man then marring the provider makes a lot of sense. You do make a good point about the trust issue. Coming clean after the fact doesn't make a great deal of sense, does it.
