Tuscaloosa Alabama gets hit by tons of tornadoes all at once! This Earth is going crazy! Any comments from the sciforumers?

Probably an effect of global warming (he says, provocatively).

Global warmin'? Horsefeathers! Next you'll have us believing the moon isn't made of green cheese!
    :itold:

We've been having really weird weather here-that front missed us, but the afternoon before it got to 92F/33C.

Oh, and we are already in a severe drought...if the drought has started this early in the year (winter and early spring tend to be rainy season) it's gonna be ugly this summer-up over 100 degrees F(37C) and dry as a tinderbox again-more wildfires like we had last year.
People around here are hoping for a tropical storm to dump 20 inches at one go on us, we need it that bad.

New research is looking for links between magma flow and weather systems.

Also increased solar activity could be a factor?
