Lori 357 I have to tell you something . You know how the creator speaks to Me > The creator said to let you be my guide > I have noticed you kind of speak the same language as Me. I am thinking that that is not a coincident. Just like Mary the girl I am working on sound with. Beautiful singer she is "and a base player. Back to the point. She is a 37. I just found that out as I look for 37s because of the book of Job. I didn't ask her if she was , I mean that sounds stupid to ask people stuff like that . People think you crazy if you ask stuff like that . She said it to Me . She out of the blue said I am a 37 . Then we talked about it before I told her I was a 357. Anyway I will follow you

It starts you down the road of decadence and addiction. It is the acceptance of a life style . If you smoke we are pretty sure of the crowd you hang with. It typically is not the geek in the room. That all may sound like profiling , but hey what do you do. All of life in human habitation is pigeon holing your bung hole. We call it something else on the construction site , but I think you can formulate a picture.

I agree. I use to be a mile runner. Yeah buddy , pristine lungs are key. Coffee is:
serious mind altering drug. I know for I am an Addict. I don't know though for sense my life style changed almost over night I don't seem to take the drug to much any more . I am more groggy , but hell plenty livable for my new life style . It is not that I don't like it ( the buzz is great if you want to get it going , You know ) I don't need it with my new life style.
I think people become tolerant to the buzz of coffee and that is why they can't conceive of it as a drug.
That Buddha thing! That is what I mean when I say climbing Jacobs ladder. An altered state. Get high on Me

    Yep.
Cigarettes, Guinness, a decent cognac, my friend's excellent home made wine, coffee and whatever the doc puts me on.
    No other drugs.
I've tried grass (it does nothing for/ to me) - 3 times in my entire life and have no (and never have had) desire to try any others.

I wonder where my decadence is.
I wonder what sort of "crowd" I "hang" with.

I would guess SoCal in the early '60's then. Cheap Mexi brick was about $5/oz, but I never even heard of anyone in my high school that could get any peyote back then. We could get acid, it was still legal and Owsley made it.

Peyote I didn't encounter until a visit to New Mexico in the early '70's. A native fellow who worked for Yellow Horse wanted to swap peyote buttons for acid, but I had none to trade.

At the time I would have tried it if I could have gotten it.

Now.....I just scored a case (12) of Columbia Crest H3 Cabernet Sauvignon. That's Horse Heaven Hills, 2008. A rich, full bodied Washington Cabernet, very nice indeed. They make a decent H3 Merlot as well, also full bodied, with an aftertaste of chocolate covered cherries.

Probably wouldn't go too well with peyote buttons though.....

Drinking, smoking, taking stimulates and the drug addiction your Doc puts you on kind of people . Deviant behavior . Your kind of violent too. It is the way you put that stoic attitude in your postings . Makes Me wonder if the crowd you hang out with treat each other that way, or if it is just you, or you and your circle of influence treat people out side the group in a stoic manner.

It don't matter! I think drugs should be legal my self. Waste of tax payer money fighting it

Spidergoat: will you ask your friend if the drop of water is always in the top left? if it is, me and your friend might be soul mates- or insane mates- or primates- or something

I haven't seen her for years, but it was always in her peripheral vision, don't know which side.

The first time I got well and truly stoned, I hallucinated something:

I hallucinated that a bunch of boy scouts in a canoe were pointing at me and saying: "Look at the dyke!"

There was a canoe full of boy scouts, the rest was my brain on drugs. We were canoeing on Skunk, all higher than weasels in a redwood tree.

On my current psych cocktail one shot of whiskey got me higher than a kite for about an hour...the room wobbles

But 'twas nothing compared to melting the car on six hits of windowpane.

Not only does smoking pot affect everybody a little differently, the way it affects you personally can change over time. With me the first few years it acted more like a stimulant and then the high started changing. It got to a point where when I was out visiting friends, if I took a few puffs of some reasonable good weed I'd be nodding out within an hour. I found that unacceptable and stopping smoking it. It took a long time for me to convince my friends not to pass me the joint anymore.

If you want to have hallucinations on pot there are many things you can do to make the THC high a lot stronger.

    1. Make some very good brownies. Wait about an hour or until you feel you are coming on, then use your best bong to smoke the best you can get.
    2. Use butane to extract the THC oil out of some good pot and put a couple of drops on top of a righteous bowl then smoke yourself into Nirvana.
    3. (1 & 2) above work best if you can stay sober for at least a week first.

So you are saying you don't think pot causes hallucinations, apart from when it does.

Way to go Joey, a post to show your grand kids what stellar contributions you made to the Internet.

Pretty much everybody has seen depictions of aliens in popular culture. The only question is how close to the event had they last seen such a depiction. Only they can answer that. I know when I had my alien abduction hypnagogic dream there was a stimulus that became the alien.

Being stoned off your tits and seeing an alien however, rather closer.

Yes, relaxed because they were stoned. I'm not implying they remained relaxed once they had the hallucination, just that being relaxed helps one become suggestible to initiate the hallucination in sympathy.

That's bad enough, but the second-order effects are worse. We've turned Mexico into a magnified version of Chicago during Prohibition. Rival gang leaders shooting at each other in the streets, innocent citizens gunned down in the crossfire, public officials on the take because the bribes are bigger than their salary, entire cities taken over by the mob, children being recruited into the gangs because the gangsters are more prosperous role models than their hard-working parents.

    Americans never learn from history.

The Law of Unintended Consequences: You Can Never Do Just One Thing.

And if you think Mexico is a disaster because of marijuana, consider this: Because the Western countries have all made heroin illegal and don't allow their pharmaceutical companies to manufacture and sell it (the way they did when my grandfather was a pharmacist 100 years ago), the 18 billion dollar annual profit from that industry goes directly into the treasury of the Taliban.

    1. Nicotine is legal and readily available.

    2. Nicotine is addictive to a greater percentage of people than, say, alcohol.

    3. Unlike caffeine (which at least hydrates and perhaps offers a few calories and other nutrients {and a cooling effect if taken as ice coffee}), nicotine offers absolutely nothing else to its users other than addiction (and cancer).

    4. Nicotine is the most highly addictive substance (and both the smokers and the experts agree on this).
