Uhh...let's see..hmmmmm...oh yeah!...because I can feel where I'm holding my hands at in space! Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
So far you've claimed that you and others can visualize familiar things that the positions or layouts are know. Can you do the same if there was an unknown introduced? Say for example you set the conditions of the room the same, and then someone walks in with either one, two, or three large objects. Certainly even with a blurred vision you could distinguish how many blobs are new in the room. My point is that since everything seems to be known shapes...the room layout, placement of furniture, your hand and its position, what you're likely "seeing" is a truly virtual image. It's a fake that your brain is constructing to try and fill in for the lack of actual data from your eyes. A bit like how persistence of vision works.
Good point. And yes I've thought about that possibility. Perhaps a kind of virtual visualization process based on mental estimation or statistical computation. Hence the multiplicity of the images--like seeing 7 fingers or 2-3 smeared-together hands moving across the field of vision. But since I live alone a true test of this as "vision" is hard to come by. One night I spun around back a forth until I lost my orientation in the room. Then I looked before me to see if I could make out what direction I was facing. It seemed alot harder to make out the images, BUT...they WERE there. Maybe someone here with a friend can do this experiment and confirm if it is really a bonified "vision" instead of a virtual visualization.
when one is looking for something such as their keys and passes right over them even though it's right in front of their view, did they really see the object? or do we only see when the brain recognizes and registers it?
Should I just take YOUR word for it? Or should I consider the vast preponderance of data establishing the existence of paranormal phenomena? Oh, and while you're here, what forum SHOULD it be posted in? I thought free thoughts actually meant FREE thought.
As in "post any bullshit you can come up with in Free Thoughts"? Nope, that's not it. If you create a thread and it doesn't really fit in any of the other subfora, you can post it here IF it has a genuine topic.
LOL! If you don't like this thread then take your bitchy troll ass outta here. This IS a free topic FOR discussion as evidenced by the posted discussion it has generated so far. BTW..so far several posters have confirmed this phenomena. Have you tried it yet? Or are you too scared?
The only thing I know of it one study that showed a statistically significant effect of foretelling the immediate future. It's the only one that made it into a peer reviewed journal.
This phenomenon has several suggested causes, none which would be considered paranormal. If paranormal activities had a vast amount of data, it would be a science, not a pseudoscience, and would be studied in universities. Not on SyFy channel.
