OK, so here come the big guns. FLOOD JEDI WA WA WA game over. Everyone loses. The Gravemind now has Jedi mind bullets and the ability to mind control us through intersteller space (it already does this with other flood) into surrendering to the flood. Every flood combat form now has force lightning and other jedi powers. We are all doomed.

But if the Flood don't have midichlorians, how can they use the Force?

The flood could assimilate midichlorians from the Jedi they take in, if not they could redistribute the midichlorians directly to the grave mind (the gravemind being composed of many flood forms combined, but not really as its just their biomass) who already has galaxy stretching telepathic abilities.

Spartans and ODST can beat the crap out of Imperial Troops.

That is assuming they could get to a Jedi. The Jedi have the force and lightsabers which could slice into flood like a Bowie knife through toilet paper.

I'm not so sure. Man on man, it'd be close. Bring vehicles into the mix however and I think the Empire has it.

Of course they could get a Jedi. The can reanimate dead bodies after all. A Jedi can take a combat form one on one but one on a thousand not so much.

Humans barely survive a minor contamination. The Jedi Order consists of more than humans.

Then it's more food for the Flood, they read and manipulate all your memories, they destroy any living being, they suck the life force out of it, not to mention they gain the knowledge from those infected. The reason why the Forerunners fell was because their numbers and weapons where turned against them. They can even damage Assault Carriers (Shadow of Intent; class of ship 5.5km-/+) just throwing themselves at you relentlessly. The Flood will use Force powers from the rotting bodies of individuals with midichlorians along with their knowledge against the Jedi/sith, not to mention they are enhanced in all aspects from the infection. Thus the GE would parish as well even with all of it's super weapons as they came from another galaxy and who knows how many they destroyed before arriving.

If the Flood arrived in SW's galaxy with their full might of Forerunner infected fleets consisting millions of ships including civilian freighters. The Flood have the ability to hack/control AI's and would ambush the SW networks. They would OWN them as they already have the might of the Forerunners plus the gradual additions of infected SW fleets. The SW Organic ships will parish the easiest, the flood bombard themselves in huge numbers from all sides to ambush their victims. The Droid armies would be wiped out against the Flood Forerunner and SW fleets, knowledge, mass along with control of their super weapons. Lets not forget the quadrillions of flood aboard the initial fleet Let's be realistic, millions of worlds conquered from Halo alone is obviously common sense to be in the quadrillions including infected wildlife. They are relentless, Jedi's/Sith's/wildlife will eventually tire out and fall to the Flood.

Now on the Forerunners, all they would have to do is teleport the ark twice the distance of the SW galactic center to edge as it's the same with the Milky Way. From there, they would instantaneously teleport a Halo from it's center to any random 25,000 ly wide area of the galaxy thus obliterating 1/7 of the entire SW glalaxy. The Halos kill both in normal space and slipspace and should easily as well in hyperspace, that's the reason why the forerunners built the shield worlds for that very reason. As they frantically run around wondering where it hit them from. Two months later, another Halo will randomly appear and wipe another 1/7th of the galaxy along with the first halo being moved to wipe out another section of the galaxy as they are well placed in asteroid fields to shield from hyperspace and detection cuz they will smash into the rocks, lol phail. In about half a yr, the SW Galaxy will be cleaned from the remaining total of 7 Halos built. The Ark is well out of the range of it's fleets and super weapons. Their super weapons only function inside their Galaxy and hyperspace is useless outside the galaxy. Slipspace is ripping a hole in space and time to jump without fear of crashing into any super novas, asteroid belts, black holes, shields basically anything and using it as a weapon too. They have moved entire solar systems to compact them into Dyson spheres. Thus are able to teleport an entire SW fleet into lets say, a black hole, the center of stars, or keep the fleet trapped in slipspace forever. The Forerunner had fleets of over 20,000+ at their peak, mind you that's 20,000+ confirmed to date totals of Dreadnoughts which are 14 km long and their hull alone can withstand multiple mac rounds as seen in Halo 3 with no scratches, even Covenant Plasma made no dents on the dreadnought. Also note that in Halo 3, both fleets teleported in slipspace to more than 250,000 ly away in a matter of seconds. Forerunner Slipspace technology is much far superior than USNC and Covenant tech. Covenant have only tapped around 10% of forerunner tech as that's the number their tech is weak by. Their modular Sentinel army will compliment in the Quadrillions as only 1 planet (Onyx) alone had trillions of them and they wiped out ships in large formations. Even if the Sun Crusher shoots at all of Onyx's sentinels, it would lose due to the fact the the sentinels absorb the shot as seen in the book of The Ghost of Onyx and throw it back much stronger. That's how the Covenant ships perished so easily. Forerunner fleets and machine army jump around too fast for the galaxy gun to track them, lol phail. Forerunners have the numbers to match the SW galaxy as they too occupied the entire Milky Way at their height before the Flood war.

Covenant Fleet and UNSC board SW ships, Halo beast SW when it comes to boarding enemy ships. The Covenant have mm+ pinpoint accuracy of Slipspace jumps, they can easily bypass shields to send bombs and/or raiding parties. The raiding parties would slip out of slipspace mere meters onto the hull and cut their way in and slip a slipspace bomb and see it go to hell. Everything inside the bubble is vaporized regardless of shields or not. Look what happened to the Covenant Super Carrier Long Night of Solace which its' class is 27km long. Half the ship vaporized when it's shields and hull integrity were 100%. That Ship class is very powerful and will stand toe to toe with the Eclipse in close range battle, but falls easily as Covenant have more ships of the same size. Not to forget, their superior combat style (Tactically as both Humans and Elites are very smart and adaptive) and superior ship boarding capabilities. Elites/Spartans w/ better Marines than clumsy Storm Troopers with plasma that melts through just about through anything and too many bullets flying in, Jedi's can't stop thousands of bullets and plasma shots every second coming at them. Elites and Humans think strategically superior than SW when it comes to battle formations and tactics. Hit and run tactics in slipspace, it's slower than SW hyperspace is a major advantage as a ship in slipspace is immune to all SW weapons as slipspace is another dimension where the laws of physics are vastly different from the Universe. They both (UNSC/Covenant) have the ability to send plasma shots, nukes safely from slipspace. Boom goes the fleet when thousands of these show up out of nowhere undetected as Slipspace is also undetectable in Halo. All the the UNSC has to do is send Nova bombs from slipspace undetected and good buy goes and entire fleet and/or planet. Spartans and Elites punish Jedi/Sith as gorilla warfare, sabotage, ambush, etc. Spartans can snipe or throw a grenade from atop of a mountain as they can flip over 44 ton tanks (Scorpion Tank) and take the Jedi by surprise, after all, that's their specialty. They would take over SW ships and use them against the GE. They would bombard GE worlds and move on since they now have the coordinates to about anywhere. SW Can't ever make it to the Milky Way but Halo can. Also Fuel rods and tactical nukes which I believe SW (Not sure, sumone correct if I'm incorrect) has no large exploding portable devices for battlefields such as nukes and plasma that splashes and melts through pretty much everything. Banshees/hornets/falcons/dropships, Scarabs along with battalions of tanks would decimate AT-AT Walkers and small unshielded craft as the movies show that even small pistol blast shoots small craft/pilots down. Warhogs/ghost/revanants, would tear the ground infantry as they are more nimble and have weapons such as the guass cannon that can easily take out any enemy dropships and even AT-AT walkers while going under it's legs rendering it useless to the agility and firepower of hogs. Not to mention the longswords that would bomb large vehicle and bases with nukes, that's a lot of fire power as the collateral damage of nukes far surpasses of those of the laser type concentrated beams on the ground battlefield. Look at vids of nukes going off and the damage around it is great, it's basically a mini nova in the fireball with a large radius that is portable, why waste shooting 1000+ beams to do the same collateral when it is quicker and more effective with one as there is the nuclear radiative fallout and EMP that fallows it. Lastly the Covenant have Stealth Corvettes that scramble all tracking devices thus rendering the clumsy storm troopers to shoot on the line of site and have no chance for the plasma torpedoes that will eat their shields quickly and Energy Projectors snipe them from a safe distance to finish them off and then a nice compliment of MAC rounds, Archer Missiles and a few Shiva Missiles will vaporize everything before even any one has time to get inside lifeboats, check mate.

you can inject yourself with as many Midi-chlorians as you want, that won't make you force sensitive. in SW the Midi-chlorians are symbiotic, all life in the galaxy has them. dose the flood has them to?

even if they could become force sensitive by injecting them into their system, they would need to learn how to use the Force. The Jedi and Sith dedicated their life to training into the arts of the Force, and a good body isn't enough. Strict mental discipline is necessary even for the Sith.

the Flood would probably wipe out the galaxy using their numbers and assimilation ability, but don't count on them using the Force.

They can take the memories of those they infect. A lifetime of training could be learned in one second.

that lifetime of training dosen't help. in order to use the basic stuff, one must learn for himself. besides, just memories dose not help. a Jedi or Sith must trust their instincts and feelings in order to tape in the Force.

just clearing stuff up. if you don't understand what i said (which is most likely, its very complicated stuff actually) just read

No no, you misunderstand. I get what your saying, you just haven't been reading the previous posts.

Let me spell it out, the flood can absorb your memories and execute the knowledge contained within them as if they were their own. No training required.

i read that, but its not that simple to use the force.

So let me explain this one more time in different way. For instance, if you were an expert pilot and the flood absorbed you the flood would now also be an expert pilot. It would be capable of flying the ship in the same fashion as you. The same thing happens if you are black belt in karate or a nuclear physicist. The best part is that the information would be available to EVERY FLOOD in the galaxy.

So they just need to eat one Jedi and everyone is trouble.

ok, then let me explain a different way:
the Force requires strict metal discipline, control over emotions (at least for the Jedi, but even the Sith need it at an extent). the flood are as far as i can tell, just sentient parasites, right? they do not show the capabilities of the species in SW that can use the Force. even in the SW galaxy, some species were incapable of using it, even if they were force sensitive, because they did not had the mental capability required for the mental discipline i mentioned. Flood can now absorb emotions? at an extent, emotions and instincts play a much higher part, in both Jedi and Sith, that memories, in having force abilities. getting me?

Jedi did not normally had very impressive force powers, as far as compared to the Sith, who had lighting, and some could absorb all life-force on entire planets by simply being there (Darth Nihilus). so (IF) the flood could do what you say, the Jedi wouldn't be such good for abilities as the Sith, who simply let their emotions just run wild. i seriously doubt the flood would be able to copy the Sith powers if they could with the Jedi.

even more, the Sith have been know to use the Dark Side to create creatures just as horrible as the flood like the Leviathan that absorbs the life our of any life-form, or the Terentatek that hunted Jedi for sport. i am sure they would find a way to use their Dark Arts to fight the flood. the Forerunners didn't had a mystical, metaphysical energy field at their disposal.

speaking of which, this brings me to the force, check my post on The physics of the Force.

Hmmmmmm, this may equate to the combat forms not being able to use the force without the gravemind.

See, once a gravemind is formed the flood have a hive mind that connects them with it. Basically the individual combat forms would become like toes or fingers for the overall conciseness (i.e. the gravemind). Normally, they are not much smarter than a dog or cat or something but with the gravemind behind them they are sentient (not individually but as a whole).

Since the gravemind is already capable of galaxy spanning psychic connections (i.e. it can get information from and control all the flood no matter where the are in the galaxy at the same time) it would be capable of using the force. By extension it could manifest this ability though the conduit of any combat form at any time allowing them to technically use the force (though its really the gravemind controlling it).

i see one problem here: there is no evidence that the force can be used by hive mind "sentients". there have been cases of species that were hive minded that used the force, but they were alone, and more independent. see, every flood would need to use the Force by itself, alone. all jedi, all sith do that. there is no info on any hive mind force users, so i don't see how they would get the ability (if its even possible) to hive mind use the force. so the gravemind would have to come itself on the battlefield.

but if you can find any info on hive mind (groups, that is, not individuals like i mentioned) then maybe it could be possible, but i doubt it.

see, there are species who even though they were capable of technology and science, they had to simple or narrow minds to use the force, like the Vulptereen:

The flood is the gravemind and the gravemind is the flood. If a flood form is on the battle field then so is the gravemind.
