As a prominent part of the current opposition, they should of course have a prominent, though non dominating part in any Government which is formed. If they said they were not going to take part in upcoming elections, that would be worrying. Surely Shadow must have misunderstood. When you are arguing with him, please take into account that: 1. He is a schoolboy 2. That he has been in a country where information has been filtered. He was either very brave or very foolish to join this site at all. Probably a combination of the two. Maybe in the future, we will get more people from countries like Tunisia. Have we got anyone from Egypt at the moment? I hope we will soon.

What! You're not five years old? Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! Yes, the internet is spreading information, the enemy of despots.
I don't have to. They can promote any religious objective they wish, so long as they don't try to prevent freedom of religion. That is possible as a Muslim viewpoint you know. Just like Catholics using contraception. Evangelicals who accept evolution as good science. People don't all fit into neat little shelf spaces.
No, I said Iran will change like Tunisia, in that the High School students are competing for "internet savvy" with the College students. It's a healthy competition, that's causing the "academically excelled workforce" to join in the upgrade. And the "chronically-behind establishment" is having trouble...no, they're finding it impossible to not get shoved aside. There is no crash course in computer literacy. There are many long routes of course. Mine went decades like this: 1) Basic then intermediate dos 2) Microsoft 3.1/Compuserve/Prodigy/AOL/Internet/WWW 3) Windows 95/XP 4) Basic Apple/Mac 5) Basic Linux/Debian/Red Hat 5) Windows Vista/7
I thought the brotherhood wanted a position in the government? And once there they can prepare to wage war with Israel as per Muhammad Ghanem: "I am absolutely certain that this revolution will not die, and that the next step must be one of civil disobedience. This civil disobedience will generate strife among the Egyptians. This disobedience must include halting passage through the Suez Canal, stopping the supply of petroleum and natural gas to Israel, and preparing for war with Israel." On a side note: Brotherhood brotherhood, is there a place for women in your brotherhood?
Based on what we know of Egypt at the moment, I can't see them going as far as war. I think their aspirations, if expressed, would probably end up tending to petty domestic religious matters.
Two dead protesters in tiny island state of Bahrain now. US is keeping very quiet about the rights of peaceful protest here as Bahrain is the HQ for the 5th fleet that controls the oil rich Persian Gulf's ship traffic. Religion is also mixed in as the 70% Shiite majority is ruled over by a Sunni elite. The Sunni King had said the protester had the right to peacefully march, but no one told the police force that, so they were rough and killed and injured peaceful protesters. The US has expressed "regret" that the two died but not any support for democratic rule. It is not helping the US stand by it principle of democracy that if the Shiite majority did take over, they very likely would support the Shiites of Iran, perhaps ask the 5th fleet to leave, etc. Perhaps the US can hire some of the now out of work thugs used by Mubark's government to beat up on, and throw gasoline bombs at, the Egyptian protesters wanting democracy? They might be willing to work for just safe passage out of Egypt now. The CIA could easily arrange that with a few helicopters borrowed from the 5th fleet.
The police in Bahrain already seem to have enough thugs. It is an incompetent government that cannot reprimand and curb their police. Like Bush couldn't handle or bring to justice, the contract mercenaries in his employ, in Iraq.
I was sort of hoping that if the CIA transported some of the out-or-work Egyptian thugs, the stupid Bahrainian police might beat them up as trouble makers and leave the peaceful protesters alone.
I am in awe young brave soul. I kneel at your feet and cry there is a god, for your bravery is beyond my comprehension. Me a man who has been suckled by the lap of luxury my whole life gives you a big thumbs up. Yeah !!!
