There is an article in HuffPo today about how cable channels across the US "black out" al Jazeera. Its one of the reasons people in the US know so little of the Arab world - al Jazeera is freely available across Europe and in Canada

Al Jazeera English Blacked Out Across Most Of U.S.

Funny you mention Carter, because he was the one who engineered the peace treaty between Israel and Egypt, so you should be kissing his ass gratefully...

Mubarak is gone, he just does not know it yet - unfortunately. Thus far I am very impressed with how well this is unfolding. The violence has been kept to a minimum and focused on Mubarak.

Kudos to Egyptians, best of luck to them. I hope they get a better government.

Mubarak won the last election by 80 percent of the vote so why do they want him out today? Seems that only a few of the people want to remove him and who do they want in his place?

Now a few of the Hamas prisoners have escaped back over the border, I wonder how that happened??

Because they are weapons of missinformation? And just because you don't do something that doesn't mean millions of people don't do it either.

Sam's point was that networks were busy reporting about Charlie Sheen going to rehab, instead of the REAL news affecting our lifes. CNBC doesn't even call it a revolution, but crisis...

Israel is already saying that democracy is not wanted at this time....Mubarak sure was/is a dictator, but he was our dictator, and he kept the Muslim masses in control....

News Bias is ever present, it not something you can change, more so it not even related to the topic of this thread!

So? Why should we care, the news that americans watch is irrelevant, its not going the change the situation in egypt. Maybe you should make a thread about it to talk about it there.

May not be better for us, we will have to wait and see.

    .

    waow, is that a question?
the elections, are fake! not real, there is no elections in any arab country (lebanon idk)
and the prisonners, just like here, here, the RCD freed many prisonners, so they make disturbing and etc... but guess what? most of those prisonner,s gave them selves to justice back, and also, many didnt want to leave the prison, even when they opened the doors and etc.. so they maked fire in the prison so they went out, and some prisonners have been burned and died.
in egypte, propably the ruling party, did the same thing

Kiss Carters ass, the Peace Treaty between Egypt and Israel happened despited Carters meddling, and He was dragged into it because Israel and Egypt already had agreed to a treaty.

Bias is one thing, not reporting it is another. With bias at least you still get the report...
