By the way, I think it is hilarious that this thread, which the OP (joepistole) is pretending is a call for "less hate mongering"... is in fact using very hateful rhetoric to bash a group that he *...drum roll...* hates. Example, direct from this thread:
    Lol.

This thread is just a tool to make only one side look bad, and he is even grouping liberal democrats with them. I am simply amazed that some people like tiassa and bells haven't realized it.

Oh you poor abused right wingers....cannot take a little truth. Now how about putting that into context or are you afraid of the releasing the whole truth? I am going to issue you a challenge Will Never.

Show the complete context. And show why I responded with that line. Do you have the guts to do so? Or are you content with spreading misinformation like your heros (beck, limbaugh and company)? Please suprise me.

Here is yet another case of a right wingnut attempting violence inspired by the right wing media.

    http://blogs.seattleweekly.com/dailyweekly/2010/10/glenn_becks_rants_reportedly_s.php

"Charlie Wilson, the Yakima County man who told Sen. Patty Murray she was "dead fucking meat," is not the only outraged wingnut who may have been spurred on by the blathering of Fox TV host Glenn Beck, the pride of Mount Vernon. In June, a California man, Byron Williams, shot at Highway Patrol officers while he was enroute to assassinate workers at San Francisco's Tides Foundation, egged by by Beck's persistent but fantasy claims the foundation was at the center of assorted left-wing plots.

In a jailhouse interview with Media Matters, Williams said of Beck's ravings about the government and conspiracies:

I look at it more like a schoolteacher on TV, you know? He's got that big chalkboard and those little stickers, the decals. I like the way he does it."

Given your recent statements I would check twice before accusing someone of being unhinged friend....just some friendly advice in return.

    You are? Aww.

Can you prove that I have heroes such as beck, limbaugh and company? Try to find a post on this forum by me where I have mentioned such people in a positive fashion. How do you reconcile such baseless accusations (like the one above) with the fact that most of my views on this site have been more liberal than yours, regarding taxes, gays, and personal finance? Try to be honest, in your response.

What you cannot engage is an honest discussion of a topic that does not render the Tea Party in a good light?

I'll keep my own sane advice seeing that I am a member of a very well-respected profession and a democrat. Both being characteristics that don't apply to you, who is registered with the republican party.

Republican chairman of Legislative District 20 near Tempe, and a former campaign worker for Sen. John McCain, Anthony Miller, resigned today.

"I wasn't going to resign, but decided to quit after what happened Saturday. I love the Republican Party, but I don't want to take a bullet for anyone," says Anthony Miller - Republican chairman of Legislative District 20 near Tempe, and a former campaign worker for Sen. John McCain - who left his post following the violence, along with four other party officers.

Press and blogosphere have seized on the moment. Mr. Miller resigned over concerns of "tea party threats," according to accounts in the Arizona Republic, Huffington Post, Talking Points Memo, Alternet and other news outlets.

Where is the proof he is schizophrenic? This guy does not appear to be any more schizo than your average Joe or Jane on the street. That is not to say he does not have a personality disorder. The streets are full of folks with personality disorders of various sorts.

The issue here is the right wing of the American political spectrum using violent imagery in their speech. And then a man who shares their belief shows up one day and attempts to murder a member of the politcal opposition.

Who think that is just a random act? There is precident for this kind of thing as well. This would not be the first time violence or attempted violence resulted from the wreckless speech/actions of politicial figures.

Cool, I am glad you are so well respected you have to toot your own horns and lie about others to make your self "well respected". Now how about responding to my challenge?

All of which proved completely useless to you, in comprehending the situation.

Much as the information here has in general proven useless to its retailers: the incoherence or left/right ambiguity of the content of the shooter's various screeds and blogs is almost completely irrelevant.

He could have gotten it from Ron Paul. Ron Paul's son shares his fathers beliefs and Ron Paul's son is a Tea Partier. So I don't see the difference.

And I don't see a rule that one has to repeat the Tea Party mission statement in order to be a Tea Partier.

Right. How's flipping hamburgers at McDonald's going for you?
Your challenge was to provide the context, right? Everybody go to page 4 of this thread to observe the context.

    Done and done.

By the way, you haven't shown why parmalee, myself, and gmilam are right-wing or tea partiers, as you've suggested. You also haven't shown your source for why you believe Beck, Limbaugh are heroes of mine. You seem to not like it when people call you out on why you think these things. Why do you find it so difficult to substantiate these things? Does it have anything to do with your overweight ass lying, possibly? Try to be honest, if you can.

I think your insecurity is showing.

You are weaseling out of the challenge friend.
Already done, many posts ago. And I see no reason to repeat myself.

I've read the whole thread already. So far, no one has mentioned Beck or Limbaugh except you or somebody who was responding to your saying they promoted Beck or Limbaugh. According to search, the first person to bring up Beck/Limbaugh at all was just you.

You seem to have a fixation on these figures that almost nobody in this forum actually likes.

For the record, according to search, these are my quotations pertaining to "Beck" and "Limbaugh" on this forum:

To basically everything your overweight, lying ass just said:

    Owned.

I believe Rand Paul's bete noire is that there is a conspiracy to introduce a new currency, the Amero. Loughner is all in favor of a new currency (likely not the Amero). He also favors a gold standard, but that doesn't seem to be a huge part of Loughner's agenda (in fact, I can't figure out what his "new currency" is supposed to be...or even if it's not some form of crazed metaphor).

In any event, one reference in Loughner's confused ramblings to a possible tea party issue is a far cry from making him a Tea Party person. Again also, even if you could demonstrate that he was a member of the Tea Party, it's not clear that they made him crazy, or that he needed them to be violent. It's certainly guilt by association to suggest they deserve to be chastized for his violence. His parents are more to blame, morally, since they ignored the warning signs of his mental illness, and I wouldn't suggest they were "responsible" for the shootings either.

Good point. To date, not a single photo of Loughner reveals horns on the forehead or a tail. Clearly not schizophrenic.
