Space Circles Are Proof of a Pre-Big Bang Universe?

First evidence of other universes that exist alongside our own after scientists spot 'cosmic bruises'

The interpretation of the findings is highly controversial but I personally don't like the 'multiverse hypothesis' and quickly appreciated respected scientist Prof Roger Penrose's point of view:

God I hate science journalists. Both of those articles are complete rubbish, especially the daily mail one. If you want a reasonable crack at what Penrose and Gurzadyan are actually saying, try here or for a previous sciforums discussion on the topic here.

I appreciate you acknowledge the possible existence of a structure before the big bang but I don't agree with your statement about disproving the inflationary theory. Both are compatible in my view.

You could have a structure which self-collapsed upon itself to produce the big bang, couldn't you?? Why would this then disprove the inflationary theory??

    You are wrong because...

The CMB was created quite a long time after the universes inflationary phase according to the standard model of cosmology. If there is pre inflationary structure in the CMB then the standard model of cosmology and inflation will require some major rewriting, or even junking altogether.

Okay, thanks for the clarification. I therefore think I have a good idea which would undoubtedly require a major rewriting of cosmology.

It would seem to me that the only thing that all of those lighter/darker spots (assuming thats what they mean by "bruises") prove is that the creation of the universe was not symmetrical and non uniform, meaning that it wasn't a single "cloud" of uniform plasma but different pockets of plasma at different temperatures and densities, etc...
