Again and again, nothing to do with your original claim, they foresaw cellphones, you may argue if it is or isn't the internet what they foresaw did most of the same (near instant access to information, globally) and yet no mention of flying cars, opposite to what you said, stop changing the issue and admit it.

E.F. said this should "dominate the land sports vehicle market." It may have a market niche as a utility vehicle, but hardly in sports.
People who ride snowmobiles for sport and recreation only want to ride them in the snow. It's like skiing while sitting down, without ever having to stand in a lift line. If they want to ride over that terrain in the summer, they'll do it on a motorcycle, which can handle the rocks and roots. Sure, people in the northern latitudes use snowmobiles for transportation, but in the summer they'd rather drive a Jeep, with a stereo and a cooler for the beer.
I can tell you've never ridden a dirt bike. What's the maximum speed on a track-powered vehicle before it starts to tear itself apart, about 30mph? People don't usually ride two-wheeled motorcycles in sand, but three- and four-wheeled ATVs are both much more stable and much more nimble. They have that market locked up.

I'm one of the few crazy people who used to ride my motorcycle in the snow, and with the right tires it was killer. And it's so much more maneuverable. I don't see this thing spinning donuts.
But what kind of recreation? It can't haul a keg of beer to a picnic site for that kind of sedentary recreation, and it can't bounce across the sand washes in the desert for that kind of active recreation.

There's nothing in that diagram that indicates a cellular network. A Radio telephone yes, but it's merely the conjunction of a radio, and a telephone, existing technology.

The description sounded more like a fax machine, than the Internet to me. You are interpreting the text like some sweaty teenager with a boner for Nostradamus.

Dominate was an exaggeration surely, but I can't see utility for it other then as single person transport like a snowmobile.

No they rather drive a bike or an ATV, I've seen them, and not one on a jeep: can't drive a jeep through narrow woody trials. The idea of this thing is instead of buying a snowmobile and ATV, you would just buy this thing for theoretically half the price, assuming it would be so cheat.

If you would look into it the designer claim it should go beyond 60mph. I think I see the problem, people see the treads and think it would be slow, well snowmobiles have treads and aren't slow, this thing is a tank and can still do 60 mph.

Snowmobiles don't spin donuts either yet people buy them.

And if he had bothered to Google/research this type of a vehicle he would have found numerous versions of rudder/track type driven vehicles that did not find any large following.I admit the dirt bike winter kits are awesome and look to be a lot of fun in the snow. And they dont lose much if any dirt bike characteristics.Google is your friend.

Example dirt bike snow bike: http://www.2moto.com/

That is pretty cool. Keeps the core systems off the shelf, and only complicates the bits that need to be different.

When was I talking about the zenith of SUVs? I was talking about a single person tread drive for sport or off road all weather travel alone! But I must ask are you saying a LandRover with 4 wheel drive can out perform a track drive off-road???

And if the LandRover is the bees nees then why would people buy snowmobiles and ATV and dirtbikes, when they can just buy a LandRover? Gee I wonder

I was comparing a Land Rover to that tracked monstrosity you linked. But now you mention it, yes, the Land Rover, being able to accommodate more people, is clearly superior.

I'm saying that Land Rover I linked to is shown outperforming the tracked vehicle you linked to.

ATVs suck ass. Try taking one into serious terrain, and you'll fall off, period.

Land Rovers and dirtbikes both compete in the Paris to Dakar rally. I know which would be the most comfortable ride. On Snowmobiles, well, yes, there are niche applications for those where a Land Rover might struggle. But get this, you could drive the very same LandRover on desert sand, then on roads, and the on ice. One vehicle, all terrain. And it has a stereo. Top that.

An invalid comparison as that vehicle was not marketed nor does anyone even think it would be for SUV uses, its marketed for sport and military (UGV) uses only. More so the Ripsaw was an example that high speeds are possible with tracks, nothing more.

Well then if accommodating people was in the scaling then a Bus or an 8x8 truck or APC is clearly better then a LandRover! I really like your Strawman as your just going to dictate all your requirements until nothing but a LandRover fits it. No the requirements I'm comparing to are the same for Snowmobiles, and maybe ATV and motorcycles as well, nothing more.

Interesting logic, so just because I didn't show a video of the Ripsaw doing something a Land Rover can't, the Land Rover is automatically better? If I was to show a picture of my dick, and you don't, therefor mine is automatically larger?

They don't even compete in the same category!

Can it drive through a one meter wide dirt, snow, mud or sand trail? Again if the LandRover was the bees nees why do people get motorcycles, ATV and snowmobiles, oh because there is "nitch" applications for them, applications for which I limited my discussion to for the idea of introducing a mono track high speed vehicle onto, a discussion you rudely strawmanned!

And this has to do with tracked vehicles how? Oh OOOH I got it I will one up your LandRover... with a LandRover on tracks, like infinity plus 1, eat it!

It's only 9mph faster than a production CVR(T), the Scorpion, and the ripsaw doesn't even carry armour or a weapon. It's pretty shit by comparison.
