Ha! "C" is the whole reason for the hype.
Exactly. What are they going to do with it? Offer it up to the sky gods, hoping to appease them?

The wealthy elite are the hypocrites here. They will burden us with regulations they will be more than happy to avoid through loopholes or just sheer power of money.

They say they have decent real world evidence. They have measurements and models and mechanism, and they are now raising an alarm - their findings indicate trouble to come.

You are incapable of evaluating anything but the large scale structure of their argument and the existence of some of their evidence. Commercial agricultural interests, their irrigation supply threatened, have paid for testimony by variously qualified people that contradicts the alarmist warnings. Now what?

You don't like taxes - there are some alternatives: rationing, voluntary moderation, regulations and curbs of various kinds, or blundering into a probably severe crisis.

Sit-ins at segregationist restaurants during the civil rights era were technically illegal too, all kinds of civil disobedience and activism are illegal, that's why people get arrested!

Ah, the amount of Data collected can in no way be considered pathetic.

We have ice cores from Antarctica, Greenland going back hundreds of thousands of years.
We have measurements of glaciers on a global basis.
We have satellites measuring the global temperature of various layers of the atmosphere
We have satellites measuring the extent of sea ice for both polls
We have satellites measurement of multiple GHGs on a global scale
We have multiple land based sampling systems of GHGs on a global basis
We have satellites measuring the ocean's rise in mm per year.
We have a complete land based measurement system of the oceans rise, also on a global basis.
We have satellites measuring the ice mass changes per year in Greenland and Antarctica
We have a global system of bouys measuring the ocean surface temp and then diving down to get the temps at various levels.
We have an integration of land and sea surface temps on a monthly basis for about 80% of the entire planet
We have national labs which study tropical cyclones and the cryosphere.
NASA' GISS lab (and others) run extensive computer models on climate change.
We have the largest physical presence at the UN's IPCC.
And that' JUST the US. You will find many similar labs and studies being done in France, England, Japan, Denmark, Germany etc

The US research is currently funded for ~2 Billion dollars per year.
In the last two decades the US has spent about 30 Billion dollars on climate research and about twice that amount on research into technology to reduce GHGs.

Global Warming: The Greatest Hoax in the History of Science.

The hoax is even bigger than that. In fact, the greater the pollution and population explosion - the better for humanity. Howzat!?

Why look 100 years ahead and be blind what comes 1000 years ahead? Then we won't have space to move our noses or take a single breath of the cleanest air. This equation holds even if the world goes like China and limits all offspring to one per 10,000 couples.

But if we follow the Genesis advice of 'GO FORTH AND HAVE DOMINION OF ALL THE WORLDS - which well anticipates this issue, then the world needs a Kennedy type challenge to save humanity:

TWO CITIES ON THE MOON WITHIN 50 YEARS.

TWO BASES ON MARS IN 100 YEARS.

That is where all money and energy should be directed. And its not a multi-choice option.

Ok, so you're saying we should pollute the shit out of the planet in order to motivate us to spread like a virus to infest other worlds?!
Just to protect your precious book?

IamJoseph-- I do not care if this is Ad Hom or gets me booted off the forum...

You Are A Sick Fucking Mad Man.

You said nothing other than adolescent screaming for her meds - that won't help this planet.

Only my suggested premise can save humanity: it is not a multi-choice issue. Anything which points us in the right direction is good - its reverse faces nothing else but 100% anihilation: who's A Sick Fucking Mad loony? Maybe you should be squeezed in a shoe box, than in a pill box, than into a grain of rice - which is what is being advocated by the loonies.

No alternative to GO FORTH AND MULTIPLY. Zilch.

    # 'Multiply' incorporates more than just repro and includes wisdom in the face of lunatics - and to GO FORTH or die.

The only thing that matters to you is justifying that book that you cling to.
I do not know what it must be like to be such a wretched little worm. That you feel the need to proclaim yourself mightier and smarter than all others by twisting that book in your clenched little hands. You care about nothing except your blind faith- and you'll allow WHATEVER harm and damage in its name.

It's SICK people like you that filled history with religious horrors.

IamJoseph-- I have Never seen you post anything of merit. You have never once made a worthy contribution. Never once have you even so much as cracked a funny joke. You were just the butt of them.
You just slither into threads and slather your slime all over them.
Your posts are as worthless as a used tampon.

But this... this is the final straw. You are bad for my temper.

You've succeeded in becoming the first person on any forum I'll ever maintain on Ignore.
I've always held to a rigorous, "Never ignore" rule, simply because even the people that really get under my skin say something interesting or worthy Once In A While... Everyone deserves the right to express themselves...
    But not you.
You're a waste of space. I have no doubt that you will never say anything that I would ever find interesting, practical, wise, funny or of any merit. But reading your posts apparently can make my blood boil and it's time for you to just piss off already.

Welcome to Ignore, you demented deluded Fool.

Your lingo doesn't faze - its your grotesque silliness.

Why bother where it comes from and not what is being said - just to protect your paranoia? And yes, if it saves the planet it is a precious book. But its not a precious planet when based on ceasing the population or killing everyone by increasing it - even in a clean planet. And never mind how anyone can stem other life form populations and this planet's limited resources. Why do you want to live in such a clean planet - you would not be allowed to be born in the near future. Then what - go forth and multiply?

Populating other planets will never solve the population problem on Earth. We will never have the resources to launch any significant fraction of the Earth's population into space.

    1. Its not a multi-choice option.

    2. Conquering space and populating it is 'EASY' to do, and the resource base will only increase.

    3. This is humanity's true vocation for the future. It is also, incidently, the first vocational command given to humanity, well before religions and nations emerged, in Genesis, and is the only path to go forth united as one.

Moon is a breeze for a 100 year project. It just needs smart hi-teck canopies or domes covering city-sized land areas. Inside, people can live exactly as we do here and now. Outside the dome, people will have a small nose ring which emits a programmed oxygen mix, and shoes which control gravity and body temps. I am just saying this ad hock, but there is no problem here once such a decision is made.

This is also the only way to save this planet, and in any case, this planet will soon need the new gadgets made for other space bodies. There will probably be less deseases also, limited to the virus' we have not cured on this planet - no new ones out there. The distance factor is decreasing - in the last 10 years our velosity caperbilities have become 30 times greater. We will most assuredly find more new sources of energy. What do you think all these point to and what is the nudge given humanity [natural selection - nature calling?] . Its a good way to test SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST.

    .

    Read my post:

We have the resources now to conquer space. We have no choice but to extend this; not doing so is 100% death of humanity and all life on this planet. Shy to give Genesis the astonishing insight and foresight it merits here?

By "conquer space", I assume you do not mean launching any significant proportion of Earth's population off the planet.

    Ok. Are we done here?

Think of all the money they would save on space suits.

Ah, no Joseph, physiology is physiology, they would not live without a spacesuit on the moon. It's not just about having a source of O2.
