I may be a little late jumping into the fray but here is my two cents none the less. I have always believed that there is no such thing as a stupid question, there are only stupid answers. That being said, just because the tone of the criticism may come off as being harsh, it doesn't make the answer stupid. If you frame your question as; "I think I've discovered something new, tell me what you think", then you'll probably be cut to pieces. If you state the same question as; "I'm confused as to why "X" is not considered when dealing with "Y", can anyone help?", then you may get some insight. I understand your frustration but for the opposite reason. Don't let it get you down. Sometimes a good rant helps but by all means, if you have a question ask it. You should always remember that this is a British website. I don't want to paint all Brits with the same brush but, most are born with a stick up their ass just as most of us from the U.S. are born with blinders on. Alpha may be a cheeky monkey but that doesn't make him wrong. Take it with a grain of salt. Alpha has stated many times that he comes here (SciForums) solely for entertainment purposes. This should say something about his intent, but not his substance.

Rpenner, AlphaNumeric and Prometheus, to my observation so far, do not seem like mean people. They seem FRUSTRATED.

I think that you need to let go of the defensive opinion you have and start over fresh.

I will Bet You Hard Money that they won't do that and will be helpful if you adjust the things you are doing incorrectly.
Other people don't seem to have this complaint.

I'm quite sure that I've said things that caused them to roll their eyes, but it was minor enough that they let it slide.

But for me, I would be HAPPY to have AlphaNumeric take enough interest in a discussion I was in to tell me, "No, you fool! It's this way!"
Because then I would learn something instead of just me and the other idiots squabbling about crap we don't understand.

What you fail to realize is that it's what you've done that has pushed their tolerance.

I'm not going to discuss this with you anymore. 7 or 8 people have all agreed on the same thing and all of them, including the three you are mad at; CARE enough to try to help you up, here.
This will be my last non-physics post in this thread. It's time to move on and if you don't stop tilting at windmills and move on, I'm going to end up ignoring YOU.

Thats what i did when i was acused of bein a sock by a moderater who started a thred "clueluss husbund is a sock"... it took about 4 azz-kickins but he finaly learned his lesson an quit his un-evidenced accusatons... if any of the people doin this to you (GD) are "mods" they shoud be ashamed... if its jus regular posters mayb they will learn the err of ther way by the good esamples set by the better mods.!!!

But, it's all good now, no one bothers me, and I try my best to get along.

I have never used my ignore button, doubt I ever will. Might miss something good.
