North Korea warns of nuclear 'sacred war' There's no way Monday comes around and NK launched a nuclear attack on SK and the USA. It's not going to happen. Which makes one wonder why they'd bluff like that. They only end up looking psychopathic and pathetic.
Something about insanity If I live to see a nuclear war, humanity has fucked up worse than I had expected.
NK is a house of cards. One small thing will cause it to collapse. This is why the US is doing what it's doing. Do I think that war would be good? No. Well. Maybe not. I'm not sure. But the western world has a lot to answer for, and will probably hem and haw a lot when the people of NK start asking why the west did nothing while a fucking dictator caused the mass slaughter of millions of his own people. It's pathetic on all fronts. ~String
I just wonder if NK actually understands the types of nuclear weapons that are out there today that his country doesn't have. There are 1000 kiloton devices and up to 100,000 kiloton device that could be detonated above NK capital which will vaporize the entire area for over 50 miles! His device is very small and wouldn't be that big of of a deal if he ever did send one anywhere. He should be very careful for what he says or else he might find someone sending a preemptive strike before he does.
And where would it make it to? The Aleutian Islands? Wake Island? We all know that they have "long range" capabilities, but what's the fail rate on that delivery system? What's the fail rate on their nuke-yoo-lar warheads? Egad. So much bluster. I hope I live long enough to see that regime strung up by its own people on piano wire. ~String
Kim wants a particular son to inherit the throne and I'm sure that's what most of this is about. But, why murder all those SK sailors? That's so crazy I wondered if a particular commander was trying to provoke a war to ...lose? I could see that happening. Or, if they're so paranoid living in there that who knows whats going on in their heads? Or something else. Now with the finger on the nuke??? Even though we have large nuclear weapons it would not be moral to use them. THAT'S the reason why no one attacks NK. Because it will mean the destruction and death of millions of innocent people who had the bad luck of being born in NK.
It's simply talk, a bluff, and nothing more than rantings by an intolerant regime. I really feel for the poor citizenry of North Korea. They deserve liberation, not obliteration.
You should all be aware as people get older (and sometimes sicker) they tend to start losing grasp of reality, it's just a shame than an entire country and it's people could end up being forced into conflict of the delusions from a persons dementia. Of course it's not the only country to have this happen to my knowledge. In fact wasn't there something similar planned by a particular US general in response to Chinese interference during the attempt of "Liberating" Korea prior to it's division?
From the original BBC article: A few ideas. Most likely: NK already used it's nuclear "deterrent", which is the threat. (Once launched, the power to deter vanishes.) Not so likely: NK could simply increase their state of nuclear preparedness. Hardly likely: NK would actually deploy its nuclear weaponry.
North Korean belligerence like this is almost entirely for internal consumption. How it makes them look to outsiders is beside the point.
Scratch that, the world would be gone very quickly. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
Kim doesn't have nearly the missiles or the capabilities to do that. The world doesn't have to respond with nuclear, or at least not all out nuclear.
