Canada didn't upgraded it, they paid their American Defense Contractors to do it. USA have 5th Generation fighters and a way bigger air force. Their naval aviation capabilities are way ahead of ours so is their ballistic missiles .ect They have longer claws ( metaphor ) then us. Our ships sucks compared to theirs.

Our Air Force and Navy will disappear very quickly, they will then bomb the Military College in Kingston, and all the Canadian bases, while the entire time, their reserve, plus National Guard plus border control is guarding the border, then their army will come marching in with the help of their Army and Navy buddies, you'd be surprised how large a percentage of population will surrender or get out of Canada before it happens.

They however did NOT have an Air Force back then, and they weren't the superpower they are now, and Canada was supported by Britain and was a British Dominion and most of our forces were commanded by the British commanders and the few Canadian commanders served under their British superiors.
