All Arizona did was create a jurisdiction to mirror Federal Law, which then allowed it's Officers to enforce immigration laws that already exist, no violation, just enforcement of existing law.

I didn't know there was a federal law that said you could be arrested on suspicion of being an illegal immigrant if you didn't look white enough.

There isn't, in Federa Law or the Arizonia Law, they are mirror immages of each other.

Castro is a douche. He needs to STFU and fix his own pathetic country before he has ANY opinion about ours.

Now only if we could get the Democrats and RINO's in congress to do the same, yes a radicle change in Immigration Policy, that is what's called for........

    Enforce the Law!

    Enforce the Border!

Arrest and Deport any and All Illegals!

The only amnesty would be for those illegals who left on their own accord.

One other thing the Federals need to do, since we are so short of tax money, a 50% tax on all money transfers to Mexico.

I agree, Buffy. Criminal aliens have trashed so many border states.

Not just the border states, but the economies of all states where they run up law enforcement, medical, welfare cost, and depress wages, and take jobs from Legal Americans.

Construction Trades are not low paying jobs that Americans won't do, but in talking to Union Construction Laborers, they tell me that their wage scale is going down because illegal aliens are willing to work for and being hired at lower wages to work on private, state and federal construction projects across the nation, at the expense of Legal Americans wages.

So what you are saying here is that American employers choose illegals in preference to Americans.

In many cases yes they do, any cost save on salaries goes to the bottom line, and if you can then also skim the moneys that should be paid to social security, medicare, and unemployment taxes, that makes for a healthy profit.

Again the major radicle reform that should be made on the problem of illegal immigration is enforce the laws, the only real change that is needed to the law is to hammer the shit out of any company that hires illegals, be it day labor, factory, retail, white collar, or Blue collar.
    Make the fines really bite

I think we should enforce the law, then change immigration policy so that: (A) it is crystal clear that new immigrants do not qualify for welfare, unemployment or similar social services that provide direct wealth benefits for a period of, let's say, ten years and (B) allow anyone without a significant criminal record to emigrate here and become a citizen.

Free markets in everything, including labor.

I cannot disagree with any of your points, the only thing I would add is that immigrants must have the ability to support themselves and their family for that 10 years.

No, I don't want them here at all. Maybe college educated ones with advanced degrees, but most of those have no reason to leave their home country.

There should be a law that allows any American citizen who is denied employment in favor of an illegal immigrant to sue the hirer over it.

Just like discrimination laws, where you can sue if you are denied employment because of race, except in the opposite direction. Instead of opposing discrimination, it's a law requiring discrimination (on the basis of legal/illegal status), so you never are denied employment in favor of an illegal. Let a few of these law suits go to court, draw settlements, and then just watch....... they'll start shifting their priorities.

This point I can't agree with you on, we should control immigration to enhance the ability of American Citizens to be employed, right now even as we have reported unemployment numbers in the 17%+ range, companies are bringing in college educated workers from over seas, who will work for substandard wages at the expense of hiring unemployed College Educated Americans.

There is no problem with legal immigrants coming to this Country, as long as we enforce our immigration laws and the quotas that go along with legal immigration.

Doesn't that oppose the notion of free markets being superior to controlled markets?

What the argument here, that Arizona may have a highly discriminatory law and that another country with far greater human rights violations denounce it, there for the Arizona law is not wrong because of the hypocrisy of that denouncement, is that the argument?

Who the messenger is, is irreverent, is the message its self correct or incorrect, that is and should be the only question.
