Present some evidence to support your hypothesis. Not Annecdotal evidence, not speculation, not opinion. But actual evidence based on numbers.
actually 2008 had the largest number of quakes, 2009 and 2010 so far haven't even come close, 2007 saw some of the biggest quakes this decade, 4 over 8.0 But, it looks like so far 2010 will break a record on earthquake deaths for the decade
The evidence is presenting itself. You would rather rely on manipulated statistics. I wonder how bad it has to get before you would consider that maybe we're being deceived.
Manipulated statistics? Where's your evidence to support the idea that all statistics are "manipulated"? Are you some sort of conspiracy lunatic?
I think you're wrong. I think that what you're referring to is a form of selection bias. I think that with our increasingly globalized society, in this age of increaingly global press coverage, reduced isolation, and instananeous communication, our increasing awareness of even the smallest tremblors gives the illusion of an increased earthquake frequency (assuming that there is even the apperance of increased frequency, you haven't put forward any form of evidence at all). So unless you have some actual facts and figures to support your case...
It's all because of HAARP...those bastards create earthquakes. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
The U.S. Geological Survey says "no". Instantaneous and intense media coverage, far more and far better seismograph stations throughout the world, satellites, and greater population density in earthquake prone areas give the illusion of more and bigger quakes. It's explained rationally here: http://earthquake.usgs.gov/learn/faq/?faqID=110
I've defiantly personally felt more earthquakes than ever this year. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
