Do they really strip all the way down to nudity? That's what we're talking about and that's what women tell me they don't want to be subjected to.
At night, I've heard, but have never seen. During the day, they are on school property and don't want to get arrested so just down to their underwear, but shoes are a requirement, so always shoes.
I have always felt kind of sad that our society is so sexualized. I undertand clothes for keeping the genitals sanitary and warm. But what about breasts? I'de like to know when those became 'dirty'. Even public breast feeding is frowned upon. I am trying to feed my son, at the mall, and people give me dirty or creepy looks and make me feel horribly uncomfortable. It's not like I'm breasts out, I have a blanket over it all. I really hate having to feed him in the unsanitary bathroom where I have to listen to people do thier buisness and stink up the place. It's not like can spend a year at home just because I'm scared to pull out my boob when baby's gotta eat.
These kind of threads are fairly mindless. Everyone wants things on their own terms...well thats how humans are. They will sit there and smell their own farts but when it comes from someone else....ewwww boy look out. 'hey look at me, im 33 and i am beautiful' 'so take your clothes off' ...meanwhile 'hey look at me i'm 63' 'put your clothes back on, please.' What i dont understand is why do people (in reference to the op) even ask these questions.
Because the anus and genitalia are not dignified parts of the body, and I really really don't wish to share mine with the general public.
vi im surprised at you. for someone who picked up on the socilisation of gender so quickly and is so quick to jump on hypocrasy you have missed both in this. in afganistan it was illegal for a women to go out uncovered, in the US, UK and Australia its ALSO illegal, the only difference is degree. one of the reasons sprouted were to go to war was to free women from this repression yet you ignore indecency laws in the other 3 countries you may well wind up on the sex offenders registry with the child abusers (especially if your a man) as for socilisation, look at the aborigional tribes in Australia, look at the tribes in africa. they dont seem ashamed of there bodies so why should we?
Yeah that is a good point... I didn't mean that it's wrong if others go naked. I just don't wish to myself.
I dunno. I think black labs do have a certain appeal. My answer is that we wear clothes because it is simply more sanitary to do so. Speaking from a more psychological point-of-view, clothing is an expression of control over how we appear to the world around us, and it symbolizes our sense of control over ourselves. Whether you like it or not, this sense of self-efficacy in ourselves and in our environment was a turning point in our evolution.
that's only because you were raised that way. If you grew up with these people, you wouldn't think twice about it. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
I don't know, maybe if I moved to such a place I wouldn't mind being naked since it would be the norm.
We had nudity in our home growing up. My husband didn't. Our 12 yr old daughter thinks nothing of walking around the house in her bra and panties. I have to remind my ever-cringing husband that its the same as a bikini.
I don't mind walking around in a bra and panties. Anuses, though, are...well...they're just not a dignified part of the body, and I don't wish to share mine visually with the world.
Why wear clothes? Because its a good habit. I think most would rather not see naked old people or naked relatives, or naked old relatives. Also, to prevent and conceal erections.
Thats true, wearing clothes has allowed me to sucessfully hide erections in many sensitive situations.
Clothes are versatile too - they give you the ability to hide or accentuate different parts of the body. Imagine how much more awkward high school would be if any more cleavage was on display. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
if you grew up in a clothes-less society and the body was always seen, what would you get an erection over?
most likely the same things as now Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! I have a feeling clothing adds to social stability - this is why every civilized society requires them. I don't mean to be a joykill, but realistically its just impossible to go around naked.
