Are the stupidest people most likely to reproduce ?

It seems to me they are. This can be for lack of education, or simply lack of innate intelligence. Also for cultural reasons. Overpopulation ranks right up at the top of problems facing mankind. Yet, no democratically elected politician even dare mention it. The one country I know of that tries to is China.
I can not think of any American politicians elected or seeking office throughout my 60 year lifetime of any national stature that has ever addressed this crucial issue.
It seems you cannot even talk about it without being attacked from both the RIGHT: for religious, family values, and such issues. Or if you are a leftist it somehow makes you a RACIST or something. So, since you cannot even talk about it and hope to get elected, what can be done ?
In my opinion it is the root cause of so very many of the most threatening problems facing mankind. Haiti is an example of what I am talking about. I care and am giving money to alleviate the suffering there and will continue to do so.
There were serious problems confronting Haiti before this Earthquake. A lot of young people having a lot of children is , in my opinion the reason why they never seem to be able to have a decent standard of living there. Of course this Earthquake is a whole new factor and will be so for the foreseeable future.
The population growth of India , some African Nations, and Asia are troubling.
What does it all mean ? A lot of suffering for more and yet more people as these trends continue. And do spare me any accusations of racism because I am not one. I was criticized by some for finding racially mixed women attractive not long ago in this forum. These population issues are very serious problems we all face in the years ahead. ...traveler

Yes the stupid do have an alarmingly rapid breeding rate and at a young age so the subsequent generations (also stupid) carry on the tradition and we get swamped by stupidity.
Evolution seems destined to bring humanities rise in intelligence back to the pack, through 'inbreeding'.

Stupid people just seem to reproduce at a much younger age ( I presume they can't differentiate between condoms and cream buns) and therefore by a process of compound interest and heriditary dumbness are taking over the world and performing a reverse evolution ( back to the pack).

The uneducated are the ones many call stupid. We only need to try to educate them , then they too will be like those who claim not to be stupid or educated. For the real thing isn't whether a person is stupid but those who are educated do not help them or teach them how to become better prepared for life's path. It is only a reflection to the educational system as to how many uneducated people there are in any country so let us try to make the educational system a better one so everyone can be better educated and live a richer and fuller life.

 

Natural ....and I stress "natural"... evolution has been interupted and/or changed through interference by idealistic, doo-gooder humans and fucked up the whole system of things! No natural evolutionary process would have ever continued to save some of the human animals that have been permitted to live and reproduce.

Back off-topic, putting your name at the end of a letter or email to sign off on your prose has been customary for a long time. It seems natural for some people to bring this convention across to forum discussion. It's unnecessary, sure, but it's hardly the critical issue that some people here are making it out to be. I'd say that it's the actual content of a person's post that is of the most significance. I'd take some intelligent commentary made by someone who habitually signs their name at the end of every post over the kind of unnecessarily hostile nonsense that I've seen here.

 

The people of the country in which they live pay for the education with taxes they pay. The return is less uneducated people to worry about driving, working and just getting by with living day to day. Imagine not being able to read or write and how adversely that would affect your life.

Well, there's always going to be those who do not want to be educated isn't there? Then there are those who's intelligence isn't very good as well and they might only achieve a high school education at best and not be able to continue on through the higher levels of education.
