I would say everything was created by 2 opposites outside of our universe. Using metephores, and calling everything in our universe God, I'd say God has a mom and a dad, and it's those 2 opposites that gave birth to our universe. Sticking with metephores, I'd even say God is still being formed, our universe is still in the womb.

I think people need to take responsibility for themselves, but no I don't think people deserve to be punished.

Unfortunetly, greed has caused many men to manipulate using many different methods.
Religion, nationality, money, etc... have all been historically misused to control people.

Man's problems with greed, control, fear, etc... is no reason to only look at the bad, and to ignore the good!

Any form of spiritual guidance can serve an important purpose for those that need it.

If your trying to understand any form of religion without understanding the difference between the spiritual and the physical, then you will probably have a lot of difficulty making sense out of any of it!

I don't understand everything about the spiritual, and my own interpretations of the symbolic meaning that I find, can often have more then one translation.

All this talk about Heaven and Hell, so I'll give another example.

If Heaven is the light, and Hell is the fire - then are they not 2 of the same thing?

The brightest lights give off the most intense heat.

For me, Heaven is not found in an extreme, it is found between the extremes. It's not in the fire but close enough to the fire to stay warm. It's not in the blinding light, but close enough to the light to see in the dark.

If God has something to tell you he will find the ways and means in order for you to receive the information, whether it would be through worldly life and direct contact. It is almost impossible to believe someone can have direct contact with God in this day and age. I do believe Jesus was the only one that had direct contact with God everyday of his life.

If you ask why you never hear anything and see anything, well the answer is clear. If you were to read any Holy Book, it states that God does not come to those who do not belive.

This is a quote from The Koran, "Have you not considered how the ones who argue about God's signs actually disregard them? Those who reject the Book and anything We have sent along with Our messengers shall know when fetters as well as chains are placed around their necks."

What you speak of is of worldly life consequences & rewards. Which are true no doubt. The mistake you make is not to believe in the Hereafter.

heaven and hell are extremes, and that's what we're here, with a little bit of both, to learn and decide...which do you want?

anyone who would say, "oh, i think i'd like a little bit of suffering, but mostly good" is crazy.

you could argue perspective here, though with limitations in this world...those being the perspectives of others.

this is very relative in terms of society. i believe in capabilities. and i believe that crazy is continuing to do what you know is the wrong thing. so, if you don't know it's the wrong thing, then you're not crazy, but if you do, then you are. and i think that definition classifies the majority of people in mental hospitals as sane, and the majority of people outside of them as insane.

    I dont ether.!!!

I suspect many new-age religon types such as you an Lori cant swallow the bs of old established religons so you make up new beleifs to forfill you'r needs... as an atheist i can jus admit that i dont know how the universe cam into esistence or how life began or act like God talks to me... plus i dont have to deny factual stuff such as evoluton... lol.!!!

That Jesus dyed for our sins is perty much the basis of Christan beleifs... but you thank a Christan is jus as likely to make it to heaven as a Muslim... so aparently it dont mater what you'r beleifs are... yes.???

as far as i know the bible does not describe hell as a place of punishment. it also emphasizes the availability of forgiveness and repentance. so logic applied, those who are in hell want to be there.

if you take a look around in the world, it's easy to see that some people don't want to accept god's authority, and don't desire to live in communion, peace, and love.
