I think of the most powerful "recreational" drugs are actually legal, for example many deliriants are legal, mainly because the high they provide is so powerful and so fucking scary that few would dare try them and even fewer try them again.

I used to drink about 4 1.5-liter PET's of Coke a day, plus the occasional cup of coffee.
I drink virtually no caffeine now, just one or two cups of coffee a week (usually in the weekend).

I wasn't wired at all though. I guess I got used to it, because I did that for over ten years.

    [fellowtraveler:]

So you drink coffee or you don't?
I couldn't quite work it out from that ramble.

Um, which genes, specifically, do you need to be a syntax?

    Only way to drink it.
I've been out of bed 4 hours and I'm about to start my fourth mug...
    Just a small one though.
    Not

Dywyddyr, I think you should delete your quote on post #46, maybe fellowtraveler regrets to put his personal stuff there.

    Fourth mug in the morning?

That's a lot. How many cups do you drink a day?

No offence Kira, but the guy posted it and only deleted after he found he couldn't justify what he'd posted.
I let my own mistakes stand: as an object lesson to not post nonsense in future.

Lots. Coffee is the only drink I have most of the time. 10, 12, maybe more in a day.

No offence, Dywyddyr, I reported that post just now. Maybe the moderator (Trippy) would be willing to delete that.

Thank you, of course I mean that. We will become friends. You will see. I am no phony nor are you. you have a lot of spunk and I LIKE that. Better to be freinds than enemies, unless you really are and have to be. We do not and are not. I would guess you are British and from liverpool, if not that London. It does not matter, much. You could be from Texas and we may very well doing whatever. I got this little beauty who is furious with me for being on this computer. Duty calls. ...fellowtraveler

    Otc drugs

I would completely agree. I have done most OTC drugs, and most illicit drugs too, and would say as far as absolutely insane goes, Diphenhydramine (Benadryl) is one of the most insane drugs out there. I was not be able to function at all, and I wrote down a paragraph on it, and the next day found out I had written down nonsense. I am actually have HPPD from it, even though I have only done it around 4 times.

DXM is also very powerful. I have done DXM about 20 times. I have smoked weed on DXM before and had one of the most mindblowing drug trips ever. In high doses, this stuff is no joke.

I know people who do LSD and oxycodon and wouldn't touch salvia or DXM again in their lives. But I also know some people who like both .. I think it all depends on the person.

I really wanted to say 'television' but it is, unfortunately, legal. However in terms of power, it beats all the others. It manipulates untold minds, more importantly, minds that live in 'democratic' Western countries: IOW the ones with the biggest active armies, the most powerful corporations and the greatest general affect on Gaia. But I cannot answer 'television' so I will say 'sugar'. Ah, damn. Foiled again. See the most powerful drugs are legal.

And I suppose things like prozac and ellavil are off limits also. But of course heroin can be used by doctors so.....allright, allright.....

    OK, illegal drug...........

    anabolic steriods?

how about the sadistic misuse of power....yes, that's the one...

it releases neurotransmitters in the addicted so that they 'get off' when bombs go off, or women scream, or babies cry. You can see warning signals for example when Bush donned the pilots outfit before Gulf War 2. Politicians and corporate leaders often are serious addicts.

Completely agreed. Alcohol is known to be a social 'drug', the pill would definitely lose the social value besides giving you 'beer goggles' because of the absence of drinking games and people offering you drinks or whatever.
"Can I buy you a pill?"
    "..no."

REPLY: MY first reaction is it sounds like BS. Ethanol is a liquid and cannot be turned into a pill. Without a doubt there are many drugs that can make you feel better but they are not ethanol pills. It cannot be done and why bother trying. Most or at least a good portion of the pleasure in drinking is in drinking the beverage. It`s a big part of the fun of it all. If you want to go do drugs do so, I surely do not care.
So, I say it is impossible and pointless. Any chemist out there dispute that ethanol can be turned into a powder or a pill. Oh, I just caught myself, it will freeze at - 114 degrees Celsius which equals -173.2 degrees Fahrenheit. So, actually it can be done at those temperatures though I believe the volume will increase the same way water does and for the same reason, hydrogen bonds. ....fellowtraveler

Being a person who has not and does not use drugs, and is firmly against it for myself, besides alcohol, this thread is quite intriguing.

Funny how high school health class only skims over the basics. There's so much more, apparently. (High school ended two years ago for me.)

REPLY: A more important question is what is the best ? And what are you seeking in the use of any drug. I say as far as killing pain and making you feel good not matter how physically messed up you are: severe injuries and such: demerol is the best I know of. This relatively simple compound was created by German chemists early in the 20th century. Some will disagree with me, but for me it was the best. Then there is the whole LSD thing, as far a powerful goes, in it`s way it is far more powerful than heroin. Then there is ecstasy, what do you want in a drug ? Sex and ecstasy go very well together so I am told. So it is more a matter of what you seek in a drug than how powerful it is. That demerol was legally given to me after sustaining severe injuries and I have never taken any illegal drugs. ...fellowtraveler
