Why is thinness in women fashionable?

Sure they do if you take out their breast implants which I bet 3/4 of them have. Most of them have no hips or ass, and their legs look like sticks. The thing they do have going for them is that most of them have gorgeous faces.

I remember the show they had a couple yrs ago and the feedback it got. A lot of men said that they were too skinny for their liking.

As for the runway shows, those are a joke. The clothes are not made for the consumer. When have you ever seen anybody where that crazy shit?
The women are so skinny that they don't need bras and when they come out in see through shirts they look like preteens that might fit into a training bra.

When it comes down to it all men like something different. I have always had big boobs and butt, and some men like Willnever probably wouldn't have any interest in me. On the other hand I have been checked out a lot over the yrs by men my age, younger men, older men.... so there are also a lot of men who like a curvy fuller woman.

Really who cares, there is someone for everyone and not everyone is into the same thing.

As for Willnever........How about you post some everyday women, or can you only post celebrities and playboy pinups?

1979 Playboy models Dorothy Stratten and Candy Loving (yes, that's her real name) disagree with you. And these *were* everyday women, for most of their lives. I should know: I lived in Hollywood once upon a time.

I live in Hollywood now, and the everyday women around here, wear clothes and no high tech camera crew. The only real picture you posted was of your mother.

Willnever you are just trying to piss the women off here. Those are not REAL everyday women. Those are air brused models who have been in makeup for hours and posed just so for the camera.

BTW: This is not the playboy site...or a porn site. It seems you spend a lot of time there fantasizing about women who wouldn't give you a second a look.

Do you think the women here really care to see the pics you are posting?

There are two competing factors at work here. On the one hand, many fashion designers do indeed tend to use models who look unhealthily skinny and who most men would probably agree could use a sandwich.

On the other hand, there seems to be a relatively large percentage of overweight people who want to think that they're healthy (or at least "normal"), and so want to dismiss skinny-but-healthy people as "too skinny." The bag-of-antlers models who really are too skinny provide denial fuel for the people who don't want to confront the fact that although they probably shouldn't be that skinny, they could in fact stand to lose some weight.

Shorty: airbrushing and make-up doesn't change the figures that these women have, which is what is at issue.

However, since you asked, here's a woman I once knew personally back in California, several years ago. For fun, we had a photographer do an informal photo shoot on her, hence the rather amateurish quality of this montage:

EDIT: Photo taken down by WillNever to maintain privacy of the depicted woman.

No airbrushing there. Just a gorgeous everday woman who respects her own body more than she does food. NOTE: I will be taking this photo down soon, as I am posting it without her permission.

I wouldn't call them skinny. The models on the catwalk are skinny, your posted ladies are curvy...

Just because you stuck money in her g-string doesn't mean you 'knew' her.

I didn't say skinny, as skinny implies their bones protrude. I said "slim," and that is what they are. Their waists are as narrow as can be. Slim women *are* curvy most of the time, syzygys.

    Mod Note

Will, you will have noticed that I have deleted several of the images you posted.

In case you were not aware, pornography is against this site's rules.

This is an official warning to you to not do it again. Once more and you're on the ban wagon and this thread Cesspooled.

Thank you for flying with Human Science Air. I hope you enjoy your flight.

    No problem.

And in case you were not aware, nudity doesn't equal pornography except to the deprived. However, those images were already censored by myself. This is an official warning to you that if you don't break free from your own mental chains, you risk a life of sexual starvation.

As to this thread, I'm not the one who created it.

And gawking at women in sexually provocative poses is somehow meant to free me from my "mental chains"?

I'm sorry, but I am not into pornography. If I want a sexual experience, I sleep with my husband. While your limit of sexual experience might stop at your computer screen or TV, most people rather experience it with another person instead of staring vacantly at the monitor to the sounds of 'fap fap fap'.

Get out and live a little.

In doing so, you might actually find some real women instead of air brushed and fake boobed women that you seem to think are 'real women'.

You seem to have a slightly unhealthy obsession with thin women. Maybe you like your women to look like pre-pubescent boys and girls. All well and good for you. Knock yourself out. But do not assume that it is somehow the societal norm. It's not so because you say so.

I don't know a single man who finds stick thin attractive or even appealing. Or a single woman when it comes to men either.

FACT: all the women depicted in my images are 100% real women from at least two decades ago, all containing no implants whatsoever. Fake boobs = fake women. I don't post fake women. I post real women. So tell me this: who would look at nude girls in Playboy magazines..? Obviously, people enjoy it very much. Because you know why, Bells? Those nude bits you think are "pornography" ARE the real things. You are looking at an actual, live woman when you see those parts. How shocking that humans enjoy looking at such things.

Please grow up and get over it. If you don't like seeing beautiful things, then don't look at them. Make sure you stay out of any art museums, too... because most of them are filled with nude sculptures and paintings and you might have a nudity-induced heart attack. Incidentally, the strength of your reaction says far more about you than it does about people who enjoy nudity: it says that you suffer from sexual insecurity and repression, thus you seek to impose your own shame upon others who do not suffer from such shame and guilt. Please keep that in mind and allow those of us who are better-adjusted to enjoy art for art's sake -- nude photography included.

I think it's obvious why you deleted those images, now. It was the way they made you feel about yourself. That is such a shame.

Hahahah thats just funny. And something I hope never happens as well, after reading that conversation.

Anyhow, I think 'normal' encompasses a few things:
    1. family stature and history thereof
    2. a balance of eating somewhat healthily as well as getting exercise

Just like what many have stated on this thread, it comes down to the quote 'to each his/her own', regarding preferences on body types and such.

Because a thin woman makes a penis look larger. Because a big body might carry more 'weight' in a relationship. Because a man can seem more powerful if he can pick up the woman. Because if you don't have an ideal that shames most potential buyers of fashion, it is harder to control them.
