Yeah and these guys are trying. No telling how close they may be, but there's word about consideration for a direct to DVD movie which I am not too enthusiastic about the chances of happening. http://www.savethescc.com/

Given this weeks episode, does anyone have any ideas on how Rush is going to get back to the ship? I'm guessing that somehow, he's going to get that other alien ship flying... meh... dunno
Could be, but using the stargate seems more likely to me. He's been on the Destiny for quite some time and hasn't figured out jack shit, so I'd hardly expect him to experience a sudden burst of competence. There are other possibilities as well. Perhaps the guy who sat in the chair will wake up with the full knowledge of how to control the ship and they will be able to turn it around and pick Rush up.
That could work, since having the repository of Ancient knowledge in his head is likely to kill him shortly afterwards. That said, I want them to gain more functionality out of that ship. I feel like I am still watching the prequel to this show. I imagined that Rush really only needs to make the communications work on that ship, though, to attract the interest of the aliens who built it. Then there's any number of reasons they might help him by taking him back to the ship. (And, like the wraith or the Ancients themselves, their tech-level can be left vague so that they can help the crew with some problems and not others.) These gates don't have their own DHDs? They have dialed gates before without DHDs and the problem was always more that they lacked power than anything else. The made it seem like the process was physically strenuous too I guess, moving the inner metal ring. For power he could get that (somehow) from the crashed alien ship.
If they're not going to make the episodes interesting, the least they could do is add Amanda Tapping and Morena Baccarin to the cast. Because they're hot.
Well it's all over now that they abandoned RUSH on a planet with his own starship. We all know he's going to become a villan.
To their credit, I don't think they are about "villains" (though they do like having goodie-two-shoes characters, as I think they have three of those) That said, Rush has already been established as someone only concerned about his own goals and to hell with considerations that run contrary to those. That said, his goals do generally align with those of others on the ship. I suspect he will come back and he will agree not to tell the others about the colonel's socking and abandoning him in exchange for the colonel's not telling people that Rush framed him for murder.
I think it's bullshit. They are spending way too much time on character story-line. But what about the Ship it-self. Every episode Rush and the other scientist are STILL trying to discover new things about the ship or unlock areas of the ship, but nothing ever happens. It took 6 episodes to find the chair. The whole Time Traveling episode was a joke. We all know that no one important can die, b/c it's only the beginning, so why have so many life death, last minute discoveries or endings that conclude the episode with Rush saying, "The Destiny is the most advanced Ancient ship, we are still unsure what it is capable of doing." And yet, all they have access to are the Kenos. It's way to slow !!! They need to start exploring the ship and the technology on board, and less time about bitter politics and character (off-world) drama.
Agree 100%. I'm sick of all the filler bullshit keno testimonials of people whining about being homesick and episodes dominated by politics. Thus far this show has been about 90% filler. Let's get to the meat!
