This show is getting frakking old. I want something interesting to happen, or at least get to see Lt. Scott naked more often.

The new episode, "Water" (Well new for me, you american, first to air, syfy watching pricks

    ),
    was mediocre.

To be honest, I was expecting disaster after disaster after disaster, like atlantis in transit during the 4rth season from the Asurans, but NOOOO!

The episode was 50-50, This series has barely enough to keep my interest in it. The bugs and the tension between Greer and Johansen was good and contributed to character development. But the gay side of it was, You know that when two members of the main cast go out that they are not going to die.

    And that's just gay.
Adama at least got shot in BSG
    Gaeta started a mutiny
Kara disappeared for several episodes and was presumed dead.

Similarly, Weir got killed several times. (admittedly only in the later seasons),
    Daniel "died" twice..

For a series that's supposed to be more nitty-gritty and less idealistic than the others, this goes a long way to la-la land without ever looking back..

Also can we stop constantly tiptoeing around the fact that Chloe and Scott are having sex ? You've had two nudity scenes, and while they're not bad, they're getting old.

We get it they're having sex. Get to the catfight between jones and chloe already instead of this kiss and make up crap.

Remember when Dualla had to rescue Kara Thrace ? That was awesome.

This show is starting to suck my balls.

Friday's episode was described by Comcast's preview guide thingy as how the people on the Destiny may be able to dial back to Earth. It goes without saying that this plan doesn't work, otherwise the show would have ended after a few episodes. The suspense wasn't exactly killing me.

Those communication rocks are really a detriment to the story, IMO. I had envisioned this show to be sort of like Star Trek Voyager. A bunch of people in the far off reaches of space essentially on their own. This constant communication with earth is distracting from the story. There needs to be some limits on those damned communication rocks. Maybe the imprint starts to become permanent if they're used too much leading to a true "split personality", or maybe you start shifting back and forth between the two bodies spontaneously if you use the rocks too much.. Then they'd only use them sparingly.

They are trying to do it on the cheap like a soap opera with the same production set. Besides if the ship stops only a few hours and not a week or two, it is hard to interact with new civilizations.

Written by kids for kids....unlike Babylon 5.

    I too agree.

The problem is that they've even gone so far as to basically build an entire episode around them. This past week's episode was little beyond a 'rock' story.
I hope they lose the rocks...

I actually thought that while the rocks were a bit overused, and led to many plot holes. I.e. If someone gets injured, why doesn't a doctor take control from the otherside ? ,
But, it does add a whole new aspect to this mission..

consistent micromanagement motherfuckery from assholes on earth. It was present in the later seasons of SG-1, and all the way throughout Atlantis.

    Goddamnit. Crap. Crap. Absolute Crap.
    Enough of this emotional shit.
Some tension was cool., like the confrontation with telford. but scott continues to be a pain in the ass with his goody two-shoes character.

I didn't watch it yet, but I already know it will be, um. . . [thinks of another word]. . . lame, lame, lame. And why would it be any different than the previous five episodes!?

Wishful thinking I suppose. I had an unknown epiphany that maybe.. just maybe.. science fiction writers would possibly peruse science forums.

    Well, swivel is a writer..

Anywho. Not much plot advancement. But they did have a convenient outing/loophole in case the series gets cancelled.

Well I tried getting into it, and I'd watch it if its on but don't expect too much out of it.

Meanwhile, looked into the Flash Forward series and to me, that's pretty potent stuff. I'm really digging that series.

The stories are not nearly as episodic as I was expecting from the pre-show press. You really have to have watched to care about Telford interacting with the wife, or to care that the Asian lady has a gay lover (and both apparently have a very high security clearance).

I don't mind the stones per se, but I do not understand why Telford is so psychotically obsessed with them, or why the Air Force is not a bit more concerned about it. I mean why engage in risky schemes to get them home? How long have they been out there, a month? Two? I seems to me that the SGC would be a little bit more careful given the risk of catastrophic explosions.

The stones do bother me in that it makes no sense for the military to allow their use for this sort of "shore leave" after a few months away. This is supposed to be a beyond top secret program, and they have people visiting ex-girlfriends. I'd also think, on the medical and psychological front, they would not need to rely on that medic. Those are knowledge skills, and doctors and psychologists could be sent through to Destiny to help out.

I was hoping that a more Lord of Flies dynamic eventually develops on the ship, but they seem to have dashed that chance this week as Rush's stock seems to have fallen. Oh well.

I'm still confused why they couldn't have used the stones to bring in scientists for the virus outbreak.

I'm confused as to why they can't use stones to bring in script writers who a capable of creating a reasonable facsimile of drama, suspense, intrigue or comedy.

If they could do that, I'd change my opinion about the stones....

OMFG I haven't seen all those episodes and now you ruined it for me!! Next time say spoiler alert or some shit dammit!!

lol actually no, I haven't kept track of names on a show since Archer Trip and T'Pol hahah But I did catch Anna on V but nothing from Universe or FlashForward. And basically that means I have no clue what your post is even talking about lol

Im watching FlashForward - that's my new favorite. V coming second cuzz I love the female leads, (Atlantas was kinda hot with a female in charge) and I might watch SGU but only out of boredom.

I Prefer Flash Forward, and I really liked every episode of Early Edition where the guy got the newspaper a day early so he got to glimpse the future that way... those make for some really powerful shows.
