After the HSC going on a games binge...
Already planning to get:

Call of duty 4.2
Left for dead 2
Halo wars
Any other games I should consider getting ?

I'm into FPS/RPGs, RTS, Science fiction, etc.

Because there is a need to make war entertaining....... that's how you make real wars exciting rather than terrifying when they happen. (or are made to happen) :shrug:
And the US military is running thin because they have so many war plans, the games serve as recruitment ads :shrug:

Because Vicariously, these games give us a thrill of simulated killing.
Every human being wants to kill at one point or another.

A board game I invented years back.

An Indian card game that is somewhat similar to Spades or Hearts, but the trump changes with each hand, and you get dealt one less card with each hand until you end up with only one card dealt in the last hand.
It's a lot of fun.

Whenever I travel by train I always have at least one deck with me.

 

I find war games boring. I only played Beach head and even that seemed gory to me.

 

Was never good at Chess, mediocre at scrabble.

These are some of my favs, mostly strategy.

 

Sins of a solar empire I pirated. Are the expansions worth it ?

It was one of the few games I wish I hadn't pirated.

 

I just took up swimming. On a team. It's really un-structured, but I'm finally learning that whole breast-stroke breathing technique!

I play board games like Monopoly, Scatergoies, Balderdash, Scrabble, Life, Trivial Persuit and--of course--Poker of all varieties.

War is fun (at least in game form) for men, and some women. It's interesting, action packed and provides interesting settings to take out aggression.

Hey. They don't appeal to me either. I don't, nor have EVER, played video game. I am that LONE member of Generation X that hates them.
