No. My first test came back positive for H1N1. So it's definitely the swine variety. And full blown flu to boot!

Umm, yes,... but according to wiki, H1N1 doesn't necessarily mean swine flu:

    -------------------------------------------------------
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Influenza_A_virus_subtype_H1N1

    Influenza A virus subtype H1N1

Influenza A (H1N1) virus is a subtype of influenzavirus A and the most common cause of influenza (flu) in humans. Some strains of H1N1 are endemic in humans and cause a small fraction of all influenza-like illness and a large fraction of all seasonal influenza. H1N1 strains caused roughly half of all human flu infections in 2006.[1] Other strains of H1N1 are endemic in pigs (swine influenza) and in birds (avian influenza).
    -------------------------------------------------------

Did your doctor tell you this is swine flu? And what the hell (pardon) are you doing here? You should have some rest! I am sure you'll be ok

The wolf said to the 3 little pigs “Come out or I’ll huff and I’ll puff and I’ll blow your house down”. The littlest pig replied “F*** off or I’ll sneeze on you!”

Realistically there's no "cure", just treatment.

I was on Tamiflu which is the most common treatment. Usually quite effective.

Currently I'm on Hyocadan for the coughing.

Tamiflu is a soothing drug, it will not cure the flu. The Russian designed drug against H1N1 virus, is Ingaverin, it will cure the virus. It has been designed specifically to combat H1N1 virus, its extract comes from Aplysia californica and its main molecular component is synthetic pseudodipeptide called Alistin.

    Ингавирин®

If you have the money, you should buy it from overseas, studies have shown that it is very effective against H1N1.

online pharmacy store (its in russian though): http://spbapteka.ru/item.php?&uid=136380031946

Negative. It's a real anti-viral. It's known to shorten the duration of the flu by roughly half. It's powerful stuff, though, as you noted, not a cure. Just a treatment, but a good one (as in, it doesn't treat the symptoms, but actually attacks the virus).

If it's not covered by my insurance and not known by my doctor, then I'm afraid I won't be getting it. I'm not under any delusions that there aren't grey market drugs that would work better (there is a treatment for cancer that's available in Europe that is, apparently, better than anything in the US right now). The FDA is a lumbering hulk. Though, in its defense, when it does rush drugs to the market, people die. So it takes its time.

    Interesting thing:

This differs from your statement a bit. Not quite a cure, still a treatment, but apparently a very good one. Though, I don't expect an FDA approved sale's license in the USA anytime soon.

I found the answer to my above question from my city department of health .
There is no need at all to have any time interval between the seasonal flu vaccine and the swine ( H1 N1 ) flu vaccine . In other words you can have both of them in the same day if you wish .

So, a lion, a bear and a pig walk into a bar.

The lion said, " When I roar in the jungle, the entire jungle is afraid of me"

The bear said, " When I roar in the forest, the entire forest is shivering with fear"

The pig said, " That's nothing, I only have to cough and the entire planet shits bricks"

Heard on the local news today that a sick cat tested positive for swine flu. Vet reports cat recovering at home. I guess that makes it a true pandemic.

I see no pandemic yet . The media is making lots of noise about it and that is all there is . as far as the money goes, some companies are making tons of money from the government and the media fear mongering tactics .
From one hand they scare the public and from the other hand there is no flu shots available to vaccinate the population . Gross misinformation and gross stupidity based on making huge profits for certain corporations .
If it was that serious why on on earth the government did not provide the vaccines for its citizens ??!!.

The hospital I went to could not admit me unless it was to save my life because their wards for the treatment of acute diseases were full. All cases would have to be shipped to other hospitals in the Cleveland area.
