    I went to sites like this:

    And pick and choose.
    Another way is to look up each service and find out if you use it. If not, disable it.

    I'd put more effort into this post but you might be putting more stock in chelski than me and I'm not wasting my time.

    I just bought a new Gateway laptop with Windows 7. I don't know what to think about the new OS. It's definitely a lot more beautiful. I still have to get the hang of it.

    Miscrosoft hates *extended legacy support*, and I do too. It holds up progress, theres no reason to be building driver support for obsolete equipment. As it stands, MS products have legacy support for computers that are beyond the average computer lifetime - there's no reason to be supporting that 1% of the population. Those who have a computer that's older then legacy support are unlikely to go out and buy a new OS anyways...by the way...do you know how much of your OS install disk is dedicated to obsolete drivers?

    the nforce4 has been around for only 5 years (chipset released in Oct. 2004) I would not consider it very "extended" to support it.

    nforce4 is supported. RAID systems are not supported by Win7 out of the box. That's an issue of nvidia support, not Win7. Win7 changed its architecture, it's been released to nvidia therefore it's there job to provide the software. However; there are numerous options to resolve the issue. I think it has to do with setting the RAID as bootable and then installing through it. I'm not all that familiar with the set up.
