    I can't believe it!!!!!! (U.S. Dollars)

I don't play the lottery "per se" (where you pick 6 - 8 numbers, like 12, 14, 66, etc.), but often when I buy groceries I get my small change in $2.00 "scratch - off" tickets. These are little cardboard cards with a "film" that you scratch off to see the underlying picture / prize, for those of you that don't know. They are "fun" to scratch off using a coin or something, but the most I ever won back was $25.00 - so basically, it's fun, and evens out to cost probably $50.00 a year. Cheap entertainment, usually give them to kids if I have any riding with me...

    Anyway, for a $2.00 ticket, I won a f**king $1,000.00 - unbelievable!

(On top of that, almost not worth mentioning, my change was over $4.00 + and I won $20.00 on the other $2.00 ticket - not to be greedy or anything!)

    Couldn't resist sharing...

How many of you have won any sizable amounts on the lottery?
    (Say, over $100.00)

    Nice Job.

I once won about 1200 bucks in 6/49. That's 5 numbers (1-49) out of 6. I was actually kinda pissed, I thought I would win like 100 grand for only being one number off. I needed the money though, at the time, so it was really good fortune.

I never played a lottery. I despise it as I see it as evil.

What is evil about people winning a sum of $20 millions, $40 millions....etc .?.
It is nice if you can win .
I know a friend who won $16 millions and he gave me zero dollar for our friendship. This is true folks .
Damn....I play lottery for every week and the most I won was just over $1000 . If I had one more number I would have won $2 millions at the time !!!.
I am not lucky but I certainly keep on trying .

When you millions of dollars all the doors will open in front of you .
Money and power rule this world .
Without money people even die of starvation .
If you buy a ticket with $2 or $4 and you get 20 or 40 million dollars I do not see any harm to anyone . It is like an adult man and an adult woman enjoying sex and no one is complaining .....

If you do not play others play .
If you do not win others win .
So why just join the crowd and try your luck ?.
I care about humanism, pacifism, justice....etc but I like to win money to help myself and others too .

I mostly don't play either. I see it as a way of the state getting more money (almost like taxes) from the poorest segment of the population, since they are most likely to play lottery, at least according to the studies I have seen.

But I often play the "scratch-off"s, not really expecting to win something, more like getting a prize from the bottom of a cereal box. At least in this case, (in our country) the majority of the money goes to education - [insert deity] knows America can use more of that!

But - holy shit - $1000.00 for $2.00 is pretty cool!

Sorry, you're not going to ruin my high, draqon!

I know, life sucks. And actually, I will only end up with about $500.00 after taxes.

Remember this isn't the "real" lottery, this is just a "junior" version - you pay $1 - $5 for a "scratch off ticket, and the MOST you can win is $1000.00 - which is what my ticket did. Like I said, this is part of the lottery, but more like a fun / game part...

Oh, well. I feel a good dinner and bottle of wine coming on!

Exactly! It's not like I won 50 million or something, and could actually make an impact on society.

Don't get me wrong, I'm happy, but I look at this like an early Christmas present from ...ummmm... whomever...
