I need some help. Complete the following sentence.

I am very good at relating technical concepts to people without a technical background. That makes me a(n) _____________.

I think "pedagogue" doesn't work, because it has a negative connotation.

I'm stuck. I could use several words, but I'd rather just use one.

Not sure if I get it right. What about a generalist? Or what about just a "good educator"??

I would at least reverse it.

"I am an excellent technical writer and very skilled at relating technical concepts to people who lack technical background."

I like Pandaemoni 's version better than your two sentence one, though I would add an 'a' before technical background.

If you did want a noun however...... 'educator' 'trainer' 'guide' 'instructor'

with 'good', 'excellent', or 'skillful' tossed in as the adjective. Some other adjectives....

    accomplished
    experienced
    flexible

How about "expositor". Is that a word?

Well, the sentence above isn't the sentence I will use---it's just to try and explain the word that I'm looking for.

We need to create a word for that. "Having the ability to describe complex technical issues to full retards, and have them understand it."

It's pretty much all I do in Tech Support.
