? first off, speaking as a harcore gamer not much of that is apealing. All multiplayer would be is, you and 30 guys charge the enemy line, those that dont get tangled in barbed wire, sniped, hit by a damn tank, step on a god damned line mine, machine gunned, shot by riflemen, grenades, and killed, would enter the enemy trench, with maybe two guys still alive at minimum health, surrounded by 32 other enemies that would obliterate you.

In what way is that fun?

And to be honest, any and every hardcore gamer considers tanks and artillery to be cheap, and in a game such as this, totally and completely idiotic.

for example, for that time period there were NO ANTITANK WEAPONS other than artillery, so me and 28 players would be sitting with their thumbs up their asses with nothing to do against the tanks other than get shot, and hopefully the four guys in the artillery can hit the tank before killing us.

The problem with world war 1 is that it was a stagnant war, you have got to admit that all of the above is true.

Yah but the porblem with those is that many people only play WW2 games rather than lets say call of duty 4 because it is historically realistic.

Its one thing to play a story, it adds somuch more when you play a story THATS TRUE.

There are, but many of them are total BS because they come with no instruction manuals and there are hardly any people in multiplayer.

I'll admit that after hearing your arguement it is a little dumb. About fighter games, what about Ace Combat?

meh, most people like fps games, and some of those like both fps and fighter games.

But in order to have both you must have very large maps so fighters have room to turn etc...

Crysis is really the only game I know that does this really well just cuz the only aircraft is either and attack heli, or vtol which automatically hovers so it can stop and turn.

God no wonder games suck so bad these days. You two are probably a lot like the developers out there currently coding. 4 hrs of game play and flashy graphix. Imagination stays in the ass.

    Really?

And crews very vulnerable to bullet splash.

Nope, the public perception is that it was a stagnant war.

Actually I've got a lot of imagination, my latest thought was a war game(wait it gets better) about the Russian Revolution in which you play as a Red who after seeing the light becomes a White Russian.

Wow, the anti tank rifle was such a magnificant weapon, that the Germans lost anyways.

The gun was just an oversized rifle, and while yes it did work, there were far to few produced, and it attacked only at a mere 300 meters, and considering how big a gun the thing is, using it as an anti infantry weapon at that range is an awful idea and the operator would be torn apart.

Really? so the fact that they were stuck in the same fucking place literally not even making any progress for 3 damn years means it is not stagnant and the fact it took the intervention of the US to end the war means it is not stagnant?

    Crysis is a creative game
world of warcraft was certainly a creative game
call of duty 4 was creative in the story line and revoluitionized fps multiplayer.

niet, give me a pitch right now that is more creative than these.

    They lost anyway yes.
Nothing to do with tanks or anti-tank guns...

Longer range wasn't really needed and there were other methods (one of them being a reversed rifle bullet).
The operator would be torn apart?

The first year or so of the war was fairly mobile (even cavalry was used), and the other theatres of the war were nowhere near as static.
Like I said public perception has the war as just static trench warfare.
Oh yeah, the US was in it weren't they?
    Turned up late...

My great grandfather on my Dad's side was being shipped to Europe during WW1, but halfway there Germany surrendered.

Thats what I thought but I just wanted to verify. But the idea isn't THAT old. I really don't think too many people ever thought of it.
