Something about standards Nope. I don't bother with MTV. Of course. He's criticizing a black man. Duh.
Dude..you know you seriously f-ed up when the President of the United States calls you a jackass. I just laughed and laughed.
I think it was a publicity stunt. And .. Best thing that ever happened to Swift, boosting sympathy, publicity, and most importantly .. SALES! And for Kanye West, no publicity is bad publicity (unless you beat up your girlfriend).
I don't think it was a publicity stunt. I think he was drunk and left the better part of 'what's in one's best interest' behind him.
He has made a public apology. Something like this: http://www.atom.com/spotlights/kanye_west_apology/

i second shortys sentiment about apathy towards celebrities, but hopefully whatever the fuck he has done to piss people off will result in the end of his crimes against music. seriously, how the fuck can he even be called a musician?
Kanye's behavior was ENTIRELY predictable. He'd been "out-douched" by South Carolina Congressman Joe Wilson, and he had to take back the crown somehow...or at least try. Unfortiunately for Kanye, Wilson still wins the the brown "douche of the year" trophy. Acting like a jackass at the VMAs is still several classy steps above yelling out "You lie!" at the President when he addresses Congress. No one expects decorum at the VMA's. This has got nothing to do with celebrities, this is how humans are. You only get to see it on TV when a celebrity does it in public.
I generally don't care about the personal lives and opinions of celebrities. But what West did was basically ruin what was probably one of the biggest nights of Taylor Swift's life. That's simply not cool, no matter who it happens to.
What was lame about it? From what I recall it was a pretty standard "I shouldn't have done it, it was really stupid, I'm really sorry, blah blah blah."
Leno should have had Taylor Swift hiding backstage so she could run onto the set and interrupt Kanye West's apology.
I would think it obvious, but .... Just cutting to the chase, Geoff. Madanthonywayne knows the score. If he doesn't wish to be viewed as a racist, he's welcome to stop playing the part any day now.
Hussein calling Con?Yeah! a jack@ss was one of the few things he's gotten right since he bought the election.
You accuse me of the same, all the while talking out of your asshole. Why should I accept your dubious positions? Why should anyone?
