I would be at least somewhat annoyed, however, the media does not make up the entirety of public discourse and in the case of the internet what is usually referred to as a "the media" makes up a relatively small part of it.
So while the media may, for whatever reason, focus on some particular viewpoint or be perceived as such that does not dictate that all discussion will consist of that.
Furthermore I think its quite arrogant of you to decide that its bad for people to be discussing anything in particular, rather than what you would rather they discuss.

So if all viewpoints but one were filtered out of the discourse, it wouldn't annoy you but if someone pointed that out it would? You prefer other people to decide what you should and shuold not know?

That's not what your doing at all though.
It's not that this particular viewpoint isn't being discussed at all, it's that you believe it is not being discussed enough.

Really? Can you show me where the white phosphorus use in Afghanistan is being discussed, for example? How many of you know who Razia is?

    Well, lets see:
According to you inpost #149, there were 76,300 results in english on that very topic, which suggests to me that the topic is certainly being discussed, albeit not in the volume you would like.

Could you show me one discussion you're familiar with?

I assume you mean on the topic in question: I haven't gone and searched through any of those links since I don't typically read *every* single link that is posted by anyone in a discussion I am having.
Furthermore, I am hardly an example of a typical westerner's view of the world (which is what I assume you were going for here) as I primarily pay attention to economic news.

So in your attention to economic views, would you prefer it if you only received the corporate point of view?

What exactly is "the corporate view"?
Any given corporation might have a completely different view on any given issue.
And in any case, Economic news often simply consists of economic data and analysis of said data and current trends.
That and particularly significant events, e.g., the brokering of a trade agreement, changes to tariffs, a large deal having been struck between major corporations.

Yes but would you agree with receiving only part of the news? Whatever the corporate elites decided you need to know?

It was a rather small hat with only a few pieces of paper in it, to be sure.
If I'd used your New Englanders, the point would probably have been even more lost than it already was. Yes?
Popular perception has its uses on occasion. A cliche used as a point of reference.

    Now watch SAM.
When I was a child, I used to play with ants. I'd put a leaf down where they had a food trail, and would watch them momentarily get confused and mill around it. After a moment, though, it was as if the leaf had always been there and they paid it no further mind.
I already knew they'd soon find a way around the leaf, ignore it. But I'd do it anyway because it was fascinating to watch.

I am still such a child.

some? technically speaking sam only illustrated one and then made a vague allusions to others. she offered a book as evidence but that particular book is just alleged to be a personal account of one mr calel perechodnik

i doubt if sam read the book either to know of other specific instances
i let that slide cos it is not a stretch to imagine a host of similar or different lapses in moral judgment and behavior during those times

    bells
this alleged nitpicking started when fedr made a statement and sam responded. i posted the instance here
why do you ignore the context? is it not a logical response?

    once again

    /sighs at sigh

I would be annoyed if information was deliberately hidden from me, but it isn't possible for me to receive *all* the information, there is simply too much of it, but once again that is not the point.
It is not that this information is not out there, it clearly is.
It is not that it is not being received, it clearly must be as it is being disused.
It is that is not being discussed in the volume you prefer, so once again I ask, why?
