Scientists have found that evolution is driving women to become ever more beautiful, while men remain as aesthetically unappealing as their caveman ancestors. The researchers have found beautiful women have more children than their plainer counterparts and that a higher proportion of those children are female. Those daughters, once adult, also tend to be attractive and so repeat the pattern. Over generations, the scientists argue, this has led to women becoming steadily more aesthetically pleasing, a “beauty race” that is still on. Seriously though, I wonder where these guys are looking, or what they define as "more beautiful" because in real life i.e. walking down the high street it certainly doesn't seem to be the case. Or maybe I'm just unlucky enough to live somewhere (or several somewheres come to think of it) where the "more beautiful" ones are abducted/ exported before they're seen in public. So in future the "standard family" will be parents and 2.784 kids?
"Provider" is primary. Looks are secondary. So, if both provide well, then look for "looks". For Men, they should be looking for "Caring and Nurture" as primary, but ego get in their way. It is the woman's job to care for kids...that is how we evolved. May be that is why, Men do not care.

So a woman would marry an ugly man with bad breath and severe flatulence if he was the only one she could find who was a good provider? Strange women. I'd take a tall athletic guy with nice jagged cheekbones but who was too lazy to go to college, over a rich but ugly provider any day.
Won't work for (at least two reasons): 1) No trains (we're cut off by rail from the entire country for ~3 months while repairs are done), no buses go that far and there's no airport. And it's a terribly long walk with that large wet bit (Atlantic) in the way. 2) I wasn't there 20-30 years ago to make a comparison, although I've little doubt there'd be a number of more attractive women than I see on my high street. But that would be financial/ "cultural", rather than anything else.

I will never look to a man to be my provider. A self sufficient equal, sure, but rely on a provider like a poor little dependent child? VOMIT.
I'd earn the money by myself. Why this notion that women need providers? I want a self sufficient equal, not someone to look after me. But I don't want kids anyway, so I probably shouldn't even be discussing this issue.

We are talking about nature and evolution here. So, when you do a man's job, you fall in to an exception category. That is how we evolved. That does not mean that we as intelligent beings can not change the dynamics. For example, men are designed to be polygamous. But our society restricts that natural urge. Hey, you could be a Lesibian...who cares...you are 1 in 6 Billion...no offense intended. Nature drives women to have children. You could be that exception - 1 in 6 Billion? You have to look at how nature evolves vs. our puritan culture.....
Women tend to be attracted to men who hold center-left, slightly anti-establishment views. They are also attracted to men who like being around children or animals. No, they don't like you better if you own a cat instead of a dog. In fact, they might think you can't handle something that requires attention and maintenance, so there is some give-take on the cat theory. Women are also attracted to men who have a sense of taste, culture and worldliness. They don't really give a shit about wealth: what they want is a stable, sustainable income, a smart savings plan, and plenty of free time. Oh, and one thing that a woman absolutely despises beyond anything else on the planet is a phony. If a women finds out that you are a phony, you are horsemeat. I suggest trying to cultivate a bonafide sense of human decency in yourself instead of wasting time on formulae and prententions. They would honestly rather date a fucking autist. At least an autist doesn't try to be something he's not. In the end, you will get a lot more sex if you mean what you say and avoid trying to be a god-damned poser. To women, poser = loser. Women don't need to select mates solely based on ability to provide in order for them to evolve beauty faster than men, they just need to care about looks slightly less than men.
