YES, that is a super one. I've often wondered the sort of person Sophie grew into between Aline and Robert. As I understand it, Jesse, Robert's son from his first marriage, is kind of hopelessly socially retarded.

    TJ,

Not sure where you're at, but the Dark Tower series of books have been out for months now...

Oh, believe me, I'm aware. What do you think I do in place of cleaning?

There are more coming out, I believe.

It is a form of literature, and a form of art. You can call it whatever you want, its not because someone thinks otherwise that you have to change or alter your point of view.

    lol
    Cool.

    I suspect so.
The Fall of Gilead seems to be the current title.

I agree. I was an avid fan of X-men, -especially- when Chris Claremont was the writer. My all time favourite series was the 4 part Genosha series in the uncanny X-men, starting with issue #235. The inferno series which came immediately afterwards and swept through the marvel universe ran a close second. Ah, to have the money for such things; those were the days ;-).

I bought and read the first few issues of Spawn. There's no question that Todd MacFarlane's art was just plain awesome ever since he was drawing in Spider Man, but I felt that his philosophical outlook was a bit too much eye for an eye. I was actually going to write him about it and edited several drafts of a letter, before deciding against it.

It is a crying shame they've become so absurdly expensive.
They were not originally meant for children.

    They are literature.

Evidently, you haven't read enough of them or enough variety of them.

    Why should she?

Because the work visually and thematically mirrors her father, she would have to distinguish herself if she wants to be known as an artist in her own right and not just 'R. Crumbs daughter who emulates her father'. She hasn't established her own style.

    Stranger: They are literature.

No comics are not considered literature. For example when was the last time you saw a comic alongside a Faulkner, Hemingway or Proust? This is not to say that they are not good or that they are not art, but there are no examples of a comic being introduced into the canon of literature.

all comics should be burned because they are making American children obese. And others as well.

    Well there's an intelligent opinion...

While we're at it, let's burn our TV's.

Maybe she doesn't want to or perhaps she doesn't have the particular talent for that.
I appreciate what she does & the talent she exhibits. If someday, she offers something different, I suspect I'll appreciate that.
She is a talented distinguished artist in her own right.

    They are literature.

No they are not and you saying they are doesn't make it so. This doesn't mean they will not be included in the future but right now though they be mainstream they are not considered literature, though examples like Maus comes close

She obviously does have talent she just has yet to form a signature style.

Yes, they are & you saying otherwise doesn't change facts.
