ha. That's why I said we may define those types a bit differently. I call those guys 'good guys'. While I can be an ass sometimes (never unprovoked though), I consider myself a good guy; NOT a nice guy.

    I agree totally.
But I'm not that kind of person. Unless you get on my bad side somehow, I'm really a very gentle natured person. Now I can force myself to 'act' like chris43 suggests, but that's not me; not myself. Whenever I have had to force myself to act like that out of necessity, it made me irritable and causes me to lose interest in that person.
If a woman can't like me for who I am, she can die in a fire.

I personally thought it was the fact that she's so shy. She never goes out of her way to strike up a conversation with people she doesn't know well. And I thought maybe the lack of interesting conversation was off putting. But only 2 of the about 15 or so that I asked said it was because she didn't talk to them. Maybe the other guys thought that she wasn't interested because she didn't have much to say and were therefore intimidated by or afraid of her. I was just surprised when I got so many of the same response like that.

No it's fair enough, I think most girls go for genuine guys, just clingy guys really do our heads in!

I dont know, I mean, I never met the person. But if someone does not get asked out for all of high school and college, its either that she has and shes not saying anything or that there really is something very anti social about her. Because even a very unattractive person should have a date by then.

Now, I really think there's a limit to being nice to a pretty girl, this proves it!

Or, wait. You probably have, thus the comment dripping with sarcasm.

Sometimes I think I might be too genuine (speak my mind), but I'd rather be blatantly honest than shady and deceptive.
And I can understand why clingy guys would do your heads in. Clingy women do my head in. But I think IMO, it's a lot less acceptable for a guy to be acting like that.

Doesn't it depend on how you define "clingy"? I mean wanting to spend a lot of time with you because they enjoy your company is kinda cute, but pyschotic I can't leave you alone stalker is pretty creepy.
Nothing sends me scurrying for a shotgun quicker than a phone call with the words "you look so cute while you work".

Guys shouldn't be saying "I love you." first anyway.
