I definitely know what you mean - I would hate to actually meet him - but I still think he's the most beautiful man alive! In the same way, I often find that obscure actors and musicians are really attractive because they have approachable and down-to-earth qualities. However, I would never argue that they were the most beautiful men on earth.

Some examples:

Alex Turner - great voice, writes some of the greatest lyrics I've ever heard. Admittedly no Johnny Depp, but to me, sexy as hell.

James McAvoy - same goes for this Scottish actor. He was amazing in Atonement, and ever since then I've a poster of him on my door...

Yeah, there were most beautiful man/women threads before and some idiots kept posting pictures that crossed the line (especially one guy with his strange obsession with what appeared to be pre-pubescent asian females) and both threads got locked.

There is a difference between beautiful and attractive however. For women, there has to be a brain behind the beauty to flip the switch and make him really attractive... Here's my favourite really attractive males;

John Cusack (who is a brilliant writer, has a fantastic smile and is genuinely interesting all around)

liebling i think you might be exaggerating their qualities, not that i know much about them.

 

I don't think I am. John Cusack writes for the Huffington Post, and I've had the pleasure of actually seeing him do some improv acting at Second City back in the late 80's. William Peterson I've seen in interviews and he's intelligent, funny and sweet. And Will Smith has done countless interviews, sponsored and participated in hundreds of charity events and is well spoken and has a great attitude. I'm not exaggerating at all.

 

you called the latter two "very intelligent". have you seen fresh prince of bel air? have you heard his music?

 

Have you read the lyrics? Did you know that he wrote a lot of that stuff, at a young age? He wrote music that appealed to the masses because that's the way to get where you want to be. There have been reports of his IQ being in the 160 range, he's got a very high vocabulary and speaks very well. He can solve a Rubik's Cube in under 2 minutes (he did it twice on Oprah unscripted) and he's managed his life and family very well with all the celebrity. He's very intelligent and well grounded.

I think you are making the assumption that just because they are actors, they aren't as smart as the rest of us. I think that it takes intelligence to be a really good actor.

Lucifer's Angel, you have some serious issues if you think the top picture depicts the most beautiful man in the world. Looks like he needs a good wash more than anything.

 

i dont have issues i just think he's gorgeous, and when i saw them live many other women did aswell,

for the record, I really don't have any nazi friends... that I know of, at least...

I tend to regard people who are good actors, or at least have an innovative dramatic flair (whether on stage or just in person), or who have a sharp wit and good sense of humor, to be above average in intelligence. I don't know if that's really scientific, but it seems to make some sense to me, personally.

Maybe I jus dumm? :shrug:

I doubt you find Borat very attractive, to be honest. I don't know how many people do. I never seen any of the Borat stuff. I doubt it's really that humorous. Maybe i's wrong.

I think down to earth and "everyday" has a greater appeal than someone who is high up the ladder.
I also find really perfect/flawless people to be kind of boring, too.
