I think Perez Hilton may have gone over the top. By this point, I feel a little sorry for her.
That doesn't change the fact that she's playing the My Morality is Superior to Yours Because God Says So game, while posing in very revealing garments on the side, something that isn't very conservative or Christian. Questioning her sincerity about Christian morals on those grounds is only fair.

Sad? Oh, indeed: I have a hard time believing that you would be singing that same song if the roles were reversed, and the person under the microscope was homosexual, and/or a supporter of same-sex marriage.
I don't really want to presume or put words in your mouth, but knowing your past arguments on similar subjects, if the scandal was focused on a same-sex marriage proponent, you'd probably say something about how it's only fair since so many people find butt-f*ck*ng homos unnatural, disgusting, weird, abhorrent, etc. Is that a pretty good guess?

She could be a full-fledged hardcore porn actress, and I wouldn't give a shit about what she does for a living, unless of course she was a porn actress who thinks marriage is between a man and a woman. That would take the cake, and eat it too.

I have yet to see or hear anything about these pictures, but it doesn't sound very good for her public image, especially if NOM (National Organization for Marriage) is trying to use her as a spokesperson for marriage the way God intended.
Maggie Gallagher, NOM's president, said that Carrie "chose the truth over the tiara." Which truth? Could that be Truth? You know, that dogmatic kind that might contradict itself because it's truth with a capital 'T', and not just ordinary truth?

but it is publicity and wouldnt surprise me if this was schemed up. although we do seem to be coming into an age where having an opinion is viewed as a negative and disallowed by the self proclaimed LIBERALS who are in no way liberal.

 

Having an opinion that is consistent with every major religion and even millions of non religious as well as the current President.

I don't have a problem with her pictures. Thinking that marriage is supposed to reflect a specific kind of relationship != thinking it is immoral to be seen naked.

What I object to, here and in many other contexts is the charge that her opponents are failing to honor her right to speak freely. We did honor it. She spoke. What she and many people fail to understand is that the "right to speak" does not protect you from criticism. It does not require that the people to whom you speak either support your statements or sit silently.

She spoke about a controversial topic in a way that fit her beliefs, she should not be surprised that people have been disagreeing with her in the strongest possible language. She needs to grow a thicker skin if she wants to wade into the political fray as she did.

On the plus side, she can probably turn this into a longer career arc than most Miss USAs get from their title. She could become the new (and hotter) conservative talking head, or, if that is too much for her, at least the newest (and hottest) female newsreader for Fox News.

 

Hahaha, you think Fox News would hire her when she can't keep her shirt on and cries because she lost a beauty pageant, and invokes her grandfather's WWII memories because she hates those "damn dirty fags?" Look, I may not agree with Ann Coulter, but at least she has some dignity. Carrie Prejean is a crying media whore, and no one wants a piece of that.
